How many players go both ways? Oh,by the way,we got some studs too.I'm sure it won't take very long for our studs to meet yours!!! :D

They are not mine!!!! I was just giving info on the team. As good as Pulaski has been playing they just don't have the number of playmakers the Birds do.

No way they score 24....

Didnt the Birds just give up 21 last week? Why can't Pulaski do that well?

Totally different offense than JC. Highlands has speed all over the field. I just don't think PC will be able to move the ball on a consistent basis. JC scored their last td on the reserves with a couple seconds left in the game.:thumb:

Is the Highlands middle school program this good as well?

Yeah, pretty much so. 350 + young boys sipping the "BLUE KOOLAID" becoming men that are living the dream in a 50 yr old Football League and continuing the Tradition. Actually, TBIRDS has a name for these young men. (SCITS) GO BIRDS!!!!!

If not for a gift pass interference penalty, JC might have only scored 14 or maybe even only 7. I bet that doesn't happen again.

What is the extra S in scit?

What is the extra S in scit?

Yeah, that should of been SCIT's.

Congrats to the Maroons for making it to the semis but this one will be over by the end of the 1st quarter.

Pulaski 7

Pulaski lost to Barren County earlier in the year.

Barren County lost to Warren Central 54-0 and lost to Bowling Green 49-0.

Comparative scores don't mean much.

Since Pulaski has never made it this far before and played a program like Highlands at this point in the season there has been a lot of talk locally about the game and what the Maroons are up against. I guess I'd like to get some things cleared up. With Pulaski being from an area with a much smaller population and much more rigid enrollment boundries the fact that their school has more students than Highlands is negated. The question I have is this: How many of Highlands players actually live in Fort Thomas and how many live in Ohio? I know with the open enrollment everything is legal and stuff, I guess I just wanted to know how a program of Highland's stature draws kids from around the region.

With Pulaski (County) being from an area with a much smaller population...
Population of Pulaski County: 60,851

Population of Fort Thomas: 16,495

Oh geesh! Not this stuff again! :ohbrother:

We get our players from Fort Thomas, KY. Now, a few do decide to come to us from other parts of the small, three county area of NKY. But we do not go over and "steal" kids from Cincinnati!

If that's the kind of talk that's going around Pulaski County -- as it seems to, this time of year, in the mountains -- you should let them know that this is not an excuse they'll be able to hang their hats on.

If you're going to post numbers like that and you have players from 3 counties what is the combined population of the 3 counties? I'm not saying anything is wrong with it, just that Pulaski County has 3 schools, Southwestern and Pulaski and an independent school in Somerset. The county schools have a border and each child has to attend the school in the district in which they reside and the county system limits the number of students that can attend Somerset to 240 in grades K-12. Above that Somerset does not receive state funds for the students. So there are no kids on Highlands roster that live in Ohio? And almost all of the students live right in Fort Thomas?
