At this point in the season anything can happen but Highlands is the better team. I believe Highlands will advance to play John Hardin.

Was the Whitley victory the biggest in school history?

At the time, probably. But after defeating Letcher Central last week, it was the biggest victory in School History.

NO.

I grew up there. Guess that makes me an Ohioan.

I think the term, "Buckwad," would be the best fit!:thumb:

For my two cents worth, I have been told that Highlands players are all legit. They all live in Ft. Thomas. Nobody from Pulaski Co. is coming up with an excuse that if the Maroons don't win then it was because all their players are from Ohio. If the Bluebirds win, then it was because they are the better team. Pulaski Co. has never been this far before, and getting here has been an accomplishment. However, the Maroons do want to win this game and advance to the State Championship Game. Their coaching staff and fans understand the history and tradition of the Highlands program. Matter of fact, one of Pulaski Co.'s Assistant Coaches was the Offensive Coordinator at East Jessamine in 03 and 04 when the Jaguars lost in the second round both years to Highlands. He has been filling everybody in on the nuances of playing Highlands. They are probably the best team in the state, regardless of class, with 3 or 4 D-I prospects on their roster. That being said, everybody enjoy Thanksgiving and give thanks, and have a safe trip traveling to Ft. Thomas.

Two thumbs up! :thumb::thumb: Nice post....

Rumors exactly....The best one I think I heard over the past 10 years was that we had Dorms on campus that housed our recruits. I think it was back in 98 when we played Sheldon Clark.....Who was the coach back then? Oh I almost forgot.....Jim Matney!!!!!:lol::lol: That should explain the "Rumor"

Exactly! Everyone knows that we do not have dorms on campus... they are across the street from the Middle School!

Somerset and Pulaski Co. are not in the Mountains.
I used the term in a general sense, as there seems to be a lot of disagreement, even among the people involved, as to what constitutes "the mountains." But I don't want to sidetrack the pre-game discussion on that issue.

I was talking about "Ohio Avenue," just to clarify...before people start shooting buckeyes at our house.

Somerset is in Pulaski County which is located in South Central Kentucky. I figured all you Northern football fans Knew where lake Cumberland was at.:D

The facility and locker room would be subsidized housing:lol:

We do, that's why I don't consider Pulaski a EKY school. Some others might but not me....
