I have learned that the game is going to be broadcast over the Internet for the first time by Highlands. Sorry I do not have the link, but it will be live and also available as an archive for those that want to listen to this dynamic duo of broadcasters. Hopefully they will be able to give a good description of the game action since they have both been away from the game for a loooooooooooooooooooong time. :D

Making it even worse, is the fact that their spotter and behind the scene analyst is from Campbell County High School :D (and folks don't start with the '75 win by the Camels. That still a sore spot almost 35 years later). :madman:

Between the three of them, they probably wouldn't know a good block from a hole in the ground. Just funning with you boys, just funning with you.

Remember rule # 2!! Just kidding-always wanted to do that!!

Will the Radio "3 Amigos" be receiving any emails during the game like CovCath Radio does. Somebody has to have a link. Maybe we can get ti out of them at their weekly "brainstorming session" at a local wing eatery on Friday.

JC vs Pulaski would have been an interesting game. Watching Whitley move the ball on the ground vs Pulaski (disclaimer: I only watched the first half last night), I'm confident that JC would have moved the ball very well against Pulaski on the ground. Whitley rushed for over 400 yards against Pulaski for what it's worth. That being said, Pulaski would have moved the ball against JC. Pulaski runs a wide open, spread, pass oriented offense that would have been a challenge for JC to stop. Pulaski likes to stretch the opponents D all over the field and if the opponent over commits to stop the pass, both the qb and number 11 (Abner) can run the ball in the openings created. Both have nice speed and quickness. Abner is also a very dangerous receiver out of the back field (he may have been their leading receiver against Whitley). If I had to pick between JC and Pulaski, I'd probably go with whomever is the home team.

If the Birds come out and don't have stupid penalties and turnovers, the Birds win comfortably. They simply have a better all around football team than Pulaski and that's not insulting Pulaski. If they do make those mistakes and Pulaski doesn't, it could be a close game. I hope Dale is doing the ball stripping drill again this week. Methinks that Pulaski defenders are going to be trying to strip the ball on every tackle.

The above, bolded comments sound something like Dixie. Is this the case?

What sort of defensive front does PC run? For that matter, what defensive scheme do they run (3-5-3, 4-4-3)?

What team on HHS' 2009 schedule most resembles PC in the style of play? Dixie? Withrow?

Just trying to remember when the HHS secondary was tested by a spread offense and how they fared.

I don't think "scared" is the right word for it. Nervous and somewhat intimidated perhaps; but I don't think they're literally scared.

Sounds like you just gave the definition of the word scared. Nervous, intimidated=scared. Be scared,be very scared! Birds = Boogy Man!:scared:

No. Nervous and intimidated are a long way from literally scared. No team gets this far being scared to play the game.
That's one of the aspects that make it such a unique environment. You have school buildings and the HHS sideline pressed up so tightly against the field on one side that it seems the school will swallow the whole field. The stands, with fans of both teams, and the passing crowd are one with the visitors bench. An additional school building and small stands are squeezed up against one endzone. The other endzone features the scoreboard, a burger grill, a bunch of rowdy old men, and a dark and spooky woods. It's like playing in a fish bowl. All the sounds echo back and forth and the air is filled with an energy that cuts right through you unless you make yourself a part of it.

You'll just have to show up tonight and find out, now won't you?

Check out the school website, I believe it has a link for the broadcast. I thought these guys were soccer and cheerleader guys, what are they doing broadcasting a football game? Where is Oldbird, I thought that he may be in on this as well.

Who is the spotter for the duo? IMO, he or she is the most important tool in the shed...

Sounds like you should join the crew in the 'bary! But, you wouldn't know a good qb read if you bumped into one. :ohbrother:
