Should be a great game for both teams, to make it this far in the state playoffs. What an accomplishment. CONGRATS! To Pulaski County, They beat some good teamsto get this far. But this will be a learning expierence for everyone coming to the game, Coaches, players, cheerleaders and fans. I'M SURE PC will be ready and there will be plenty of good football action. But when you leave the stadium, you will know why Fort Thomas Highlands Bluebirds are the best team and program in the state, its just flat out unbelievable the atmosphere the positive environment the class and sportsmanship you will see and witness. Good luck both teams enjoy the game, have a safe trip up.

Highlands wins by 28. The Bird is the word.

Don't forget Boyle County.

They don't belong there.:D

Think that will work to fire up your Maroons? :sssh:

If Pulaski County isn't fired up by now, they should stay on the bus. I know the Birds are fired up they have a lot at stake besides a state title. There is a perfect season, the big win over Cincinnati St. X , for the seniors ,they have lost only one game in three years. Some may play college football some where but for most it could be the last or second last chance to play sanctioned football. Dale and company have them ready like always! Go Birds!!!

What-you mean they don't have 22 D1 players? Reading all the Highlands post you would think they could beat Kentucky. Highlands is Highlands but Pulaski will bring in a group of young men that have been underdogs all year. I don't think your Mighty Bluebird stadium will scare the Maroons. Regardless of the outcome, I think you will be impressed with the Maroons players and their heart.:sssh:

You mention players and their heart, but I don't see anything about them winning the game. Why is that!!

I don't think your Mighty Bluebird stadium will scare the Maroons.
Actually, it's mighty David Cecil Memorial Stadium -- named for a player who lost his life from an injury sustained on that field.
I don't think your Mighty Bluebird stadium will scare the Maroons.

I haven't seen anyone mention that PC will be scared...What everyone seems to be saying is that they are in for a very unusual atmosphere. The bleachers are almost on the field (and rubbing up against the backs of the visiting players) and the Highlands sideline has a three story wall behind it.

The players have to stand behind the broken line and the bleachers. The fans walk between them and the stands.

All that I am saying is you seem to think that no one can play with the Bluebirds. Any team that has made it this far is pretty good and will not lay down for Highlands.

I would love to see a competitive game..I just don't think it will happen. Nothing against the Maroons, they just haven't seen anything close to what they will experience Friday night. Highlands speed will be a shock...JMO

Is there any other seating? Is there a limit on the number of fans that are allowed to attend? As big as Highland's program has always been, I would have expected the stadium to be bigger. I guess it sort of like Duke's basketball arena, small but very rowdy.

Prediction: Highlands came name the score.

50-65 to 7.

Oh by the way. Go Rebels on Friday.:ylsuper:

It's like going into combat against an opponent that hasn't lost a battle and has defeated one of the best armies in the world. He wins because he has all the weapons and the best commanders. Lets face it,PC is scared. Anyone who thinks the PC kids aren't scared isn't being honest with themselves. I don't blame them a bit,I'd be scared too!:scared:

As I said in a previous post , I repect PC for making it this far in the playoffs.Highlands and their fans don't expect any opponent to lay down. They want PC to "give us all you got". We want PC and their fans to come up to Ft. Thomas and enjoy a great night of hard hitting football .As far as no one playing with the Birds (as you say) there have been teams that have played with the Birds , they just didn't win the game.

Highlands is really a small, landlocked school. No room or money for bigger facilities. There is a limit but I don't know what it is. What was attendance at the St X game? My guess is that is the limit.

I don't think "scared" is the right word for it. Nervous and somewhat intimidated perhaps; but I don't think they're literally scared.
