Welcome to NKY PC, & congrats on your best ever season. When you see HHS line-up on the field, you will not be impressed with size. But when their first one or two drives end up in TD's after only 3 or 4 plays, you will share the feeling of many HHS opponents this time of year. Just stay cool and play your game. JC tied it up in the 2nd quarter, showing lots of guts and character. This HHS team ranks among their best ever, so buckle it on tight and bring your best effort. Since I'm not going to Danville, or Mayfield for either of those great games, I'm going to be in Ft.Thomas for this great game. Good luck.

You're not kidding! I laugh when some of the "so called" HHS fans get on here and run their mouths about how a team should be scared. What, are they 2 or something. Man grow up already!

Now on the other hand, I laugh when I read fans say a team is going to just show up and not just lay down for the Birds! UUHHHH, hello! Why wouldn't they just come to play and give their every effort. There hasn't been a team that hasn't given it their all against HHS this year.

I'm with all the HHS faithful. I think the Birds win but it's the State semi-finals. This shouldn't be a blow out by any team.

Apparently you don't remember these two semi-final classics:

2007 Lincoln Co (11-2) W 49-21

2008 Whitley Co (12-1) W 42-16

Nothing against what the Maroons have done this season but it will end very early this week.

Are there still tickets avalible?

If so what time should a person show up to ensure he will get in?

The gates open an hour before game time. But you should be there much earlier, because: A. There will be a line to get in the gate and B. You'll need plenty of time to park and walk.

It won't sell out will it?

Comparing it to the Lincoln County semifinal game a couple years ago, I would imagine there will be a good crowd but I'd be shocked at a sellout.

The previous poster who said to get there early because of the entrance line makes a great point, however.

That's a great point. I remember the Highlands/Lincoln game very well. Lincoln had a very good team that had played good football all season. My father thought Lincoln could compete, but I predicted it to be over early. I ended up being right.

It wasn't that Lincoln (or Whitley, or even Pulaski) were bad teams; they are very good teams. But there is nothing in this area that compares to Highlands and these teams just aren't ready for the level of competition they will face.

Thank you! :thumb:

Seems like a little contempt and looking down their noses at PC from a few 'fans'. I think HHS wins comfortably, but some of the comments on here are a bit surprising. I was hoping for something better, ... maybe less disrespect.

This is one Birds' fan that while I like to see the Birds win, I enjoy the game of football. To me no one is better than me and I am am better than no one. Everyone have a geat today and even greater tomorrow.

Hey hey hey... you used that prediction last week. Can't you be more creative?

What and break the "streak"? LOL

How many rings are at your table this year? Pre-game practice on Thanksgiving is the best.

There were no pre sold tickets so the lines may even be a little longer.

True. The back-up probably will be longer.
You have to me kidding, right? SCARED, no way! Hats off to them. They won their regional. They will show up with plans on leaving with the victory. Even during the warm ups, they will look and say "we can compete with this team." But once the games starts, it doesn't matter if it's kickoff or receive at that moment--maybe not until that first series. But they will quickly realize what they are in store for. You can not prepare for the quickness, the strength, the difference in talent as a whole by an overall team play!

I really think the score will get nasty quick, with Pulaski trying to pass and going three and outs while Highlands will March the field at will. This will make for a very long game! Look for clock possession to be like 3 to 1 Highlands.

When it's all said and done, one thing that Pulaski will walk away with is, not a feeling of defeat--defeat won't even be in their vocabulary--but the desire to get to the level of play, tradition and respect that Highlands has. I would just like to say, go play the game you love, enjoy the moment in time, and you will always remember the opportunity that was before you. Also remember, I think Highlands is a nationally ranked top 10 team in America!

First of all it is just silly to rank high school teams nationaly-since they never play each other. I would be willing to bet that there are 10 teams in Texas and South Florida that are better than Highlands!
