November 17, 200916 yr Great game, Miami was just lighting it up tonight. Even though this game was close and UK had a chance to lose- I was still fired up at watching them play with all that speed and enthusiasm. Last year would have been a total disaster and likely a loss as the outcome. This team has so much potential- they are going to be fun to watch this year.
November 17, 200916 yr I just read through that. Got a good laugh. Well at least 77 people got it right and only 3 almost got it right.
November 17, 200916 yr Who the heck cares what predictions were made? Cats came from down 18, showed grit and poise and determination--all the ingredients to the beginnings of a great team. Hats off to Miami, they absolutely shot the lights out and still came up a little short. Personally, I believe a team learns more about themselves from a game like this than a blowout any day. I will take it!:thumb:
November 17, 200916 yr I believe Winbush set some records tonight or tied a few... Either way he is close, has to be.
November 17, 200916 yr Glad they won but we have to remain patient as fans with this team, they will get better over time. Coach Cal has been saying all along that it will take a while.

November 17, 200916 yr I believe Winbush set some records tonight or tied a few... Record for 3-point field goals by an opponent at Rupp Arena with eight.
November 17, 200916 yr The Cats showed a lot of grit and determination tonight. I read the post from someone, of course a Louisville fan, laughing that UK is ranked #5. They are probably right, UK is not a top 5 team at the time. But this team has a tremendous upside to it. So much talent on the floor. It has been a long time since UK fans can say they seen so much emotion out on the court as what the players were showing tonight. I liked how Cousins responded after sitting down for most of the game. Wall is good, nuff said. I like where this team is and can't wait for Thursday night.
November 17, 200916 yr Where would we be without Dodson? Once again, this Kentucky team is plagued with poor shooters. If not for his crucial 3s this game may have had a different outcome.
November 17, 200916 yr Well at least 77 people got it right and only 3 almost got it right. Has nothing to do with the outrageous score predictions that were obviously wrong...
November 17, 200916 yr A good clutch play by Wall, but Wall and Bledsoe looked a little selfish for point guards. Someone needs to tell Bledsoe and Wall that you cannot dribble through five people in a zone. Bledsoe was much worse than Wall. They need to get the big guys involved. Patterson and Cousins looked dominate. Miller played well in the second half. Luckly, it is early and they will get much better.
November 17, 200916 yr They are young, and a whole lotta sloppy. They will get it together when the big games come around. I agree FF, this team is going to look terrible at times (like tonight) and then turn around and look like world beaters, it is called inexperience. I personally believe that right now we are ranked way too high at #5. This U.K. team will get better, much better. I listened to Cal on his post game radio show and he again made the statement that to expect this team to be alot better by the end of December. Cal said alot of the thigs that were bad tonight and looked terrible were his fault and fully admitted that they (coaches) had not talked about some situations or worked on them yet. They have had 22 practices with Patterson and a team of Freshmen and Sophomores and haven't had the time to introduce everything with all being new to the returning players ans frshmen gettin introduced to college basketball for the first time. Cal also stated that the fans found out tonight that he did not like to call time outs in late game situation. lol. He said the team knew what they wanted them to run with the "D" that Miami was in and he would rather let them (his players) figure it out than to call a t/o and give a great coach like C. Cole time to set/change a defense. Cal told the fans to get used to him not calling many t/o's, lol. I was as frustrated as anyone at how sloppy we looked for most of the game. My main complaints was no getting out on the 3pt. shot, for the most part Miami shot the ball unobstructed. I would tell anyone that if you want to bash this team and jump of the bandwagon now that is fine and your choice....see ya. Just don't be coming back on when they are playing good, and they will be playing very good before seasons end.
