November 17, 200916 yr That's the 5th best team in the country?? Louisville never have a bad night?
November 17, 200916 yr That's the 5th best team in the country?? Maybe not, but they are the best in the state...
November 17, 200916 yr So are you guys ready to believe what I have been saying about this team yet? The potential to be great is there, but the execution and development of the system have a long way to go and disciplined teams are going to give them fits... No one should be surprised. A team with 2 starting freshmen, a new coach, and a new offense is going to struggle a bit.
November 17, 200916 yr Like I said, you could feel the rest of BGP ready to laugh at this one. This is why losing Meeks was so bad. They don't have a go to free throw shooter. They don't have as much leadership. They don't have the consistent outside shooter.

The potential to be great is there, but the execution and development of the system have a long way to go and disciplined teams are going to give them fits... That's not new news. Miami was on fire tonight. Cousins, Bledsoe & Wall looked young & inexperienced. The talent is there, but you can see that they have been able to get by on their athleticism their whole lives. That won't happen much now.
November 17, 200916 yr That's the 5th best team in the country?? UNC beat Valparaiso by 11 points. Does that mean they don't deserve the #6 ranking, since Valparaiso is 0-2?

They don't have as much leadership. They don't have the consistent outside shooter. This was their 2nd game in a new offense, and under a new coach. Like Calipari has said repeatedly...things are going to take time.

Not new news to you? Sure. For a LOT of others? Not so much...
November 17, 200916 yr Not gonna lie, I was really hoping UK was gonna lose this one just to shut my UK friends up for a while. They did what they had to do to win but this should wake them up a little now knowing that they just can't show up and win like most of them are used to from high school. This will be a great motivator for Calipari in practice.
November 17, 200916 yr Sloppy but a win is a win. I like how they attached without a timeout, teams always seem to want to let the defense set up, yes I know its taking a chance but I won a game one time in high school by doing similiar what wall did tonight and just catches people off guard.
November 17, 200916 yr Miami was 15/26 from down town. Winbush was 8/10 from 3 range himself. UK was 14/25 from the charity stripe. UK shot better from the field with 49.1% to Miami's 47.9%.
November 17, 200916 yr BUT with all the negatives of this game, UK being down 18 and coming back to win just goes to show how much talent this team has. You better believe if it had been last years team or even the year before that UK would have not won the game. Kentucky has the talent to compete and stay in any game and even though it was against Miami I think Kentucky knows they can win and they proved it tonight. Agreed. I think about the time everyone gets healthy and this teams has consistant practices as a entire team and now they see they have to play every night to win, they will be tough.
