And they still have the record they have. Again last time Dixie played Highlands Wilson averaged 8 yds a pass completion. Why? Because he ran for his life and had no time to throw deep down field. Highlands typically won't give up a big pass play anyway. Dixie's offense will have to score 50 points to make it a game. This isn't going to happen.

I doubt it! The odds of the Bluebirds putting up 50 tommorrow night is slim to none. They will need a boatload of turnovers to hit that mark.

You may be right if you are reading the enquirer stats. keep reading and you will find Highlands doesnt have anybody in the top 15 in tackles, fumble recoveries or interceptions. Figure it out yet? Highlands doesnt report defensive stats. Its not their style. The only stat that matters is that they have won 11 games and they give up an average of 11.5 pts a game. Post all the numbers you want but 11.5 pts a game isnt going to beat many Highlands teams any year. Dont sell this defense short.:thumb:

The only number that counts is the number of W's on the schedule. If the birds have 15 at the end of the season....what other stat is there? Oh yeah...championships are fun to count too!

:idunno: It was a typical district game for the Birds of late. Stack numbers any way you want to, but the fact is that they haven't been challenged in the regular season at any time in the last three seasons. Dixie beat an Ashland team last week that Scott may have handled. This game might be like a cat toying with a fieldmouse for the first quarter and a half, but once things start going against Dixie, they'll lose their composure and start stacking up personal foul penalties. Same ol' Colonels.

The first regular season game, Dixie was right with Highland's in the first quarter. In the second quarter, a couple quick fumbles turned the momentum around in short order - Collingsworth scored 21 points in like 4 minutes? In addition, a few key Dixie players came out during that game with minor injuries but are back 100%.

The Bluebirds got off to a sluggish start, turning the ball over on their first two possessions, but after scoring 21 points in less than four minutes late in the second quarter the game was never in doubt.

Big guys, and as of the beginning of the season, the starters were all returning from last year. Some play both ways, or at least they did in the first game with Highlands.

 

As per the bolded,those four words mean a whole lot in the second half. Fatigue will be a big factor in the second half for Dixie! Up until this year,that was the deciding factor when Highlands played the big schools from Cinti. This year Highlands has nobody playing both ways that I know of, and their conditioning program is second to none!!! Go Birds!!!!

Your not kidding, especially with some of these ridiculous post. Don't get me wrong, I am one who thinks HHS will win. And I agree with a lot of the things that have happened in the past, do happen again, then HHS will win again by a big number. But apparently, Dixie has got it going and really put it to Ashland, a team that had only one loss.

 

If HHS takes care of their part, then I will take a victory by any margin. It's the playoffs and that means a lot to both teams. The kids go into this game with a whole different attitude. Both teams do.
