I think that Highlands will win this game rather comfortably, but Dixie's offense if clicking could cause some problems for the Birds. The problem for Dixie is that their defense cannot stop anyone so for them to win this game they will have to outscore HHS which I do not think that they can do.

This is not Ashland. I am glad to see Dixie advance to this game more than you would ever know. It really is a shame that they have to play HHS this week rather than next because of the cameraman on the sidelines. Dixie's defense cannot stop HHS, all they can hope for is to slow them down in order to keep the game close for the offense. I am going to say that the score is somewhere in the neighborhood of 48 to 14.

I imagine Dixie would have a legit shot against anyone in 5a. They aren't playing anyone tonight. If, if the Bluebirds take care of the football it will be tough for anyone to stay within a couple of scores of them.

I have not doubt that they did. But Highlands O-Line and running backs, I perceive, are at a different level than Ashland. I also think that the number of linemen playing both ways for Dixie will cause them to wear down that much quicker. That is, unless Dixie is going to deploy a special formation, line rotation, or get some new players involved on one side of the ball or the other.:sssh:

 

As you point out, however, it will all need to come together tonight. For both teams!

As per the bolded,those four words mean a whole lot in the second half. Fatigue will be a big factor in the second half for Dixie! Up until this year,that was the deciding factor when Highlands played the big schools from Cinti. This year Highlands has nobody playing both ways that I know of, and their conditioning program is second to none!!! Go Birds!!!!

 

I believe, and correct me if I should be wrong, but I think the one who recovers the football T after kickoffs also runs behind the net for PATs and Field Goals to retieve footballs. Like I said, I may be wrong...but we have at least one going both ways on Friday nights.
