Tons of kids play in freshmen games and then dress & play JV and even Varsity. Freshmen have even been known to play JV/Varsity all year and then end up playing for the Frosh in their tourneys. Don't think there's any rules against any of this?

Mason Monroe may be the most under-rated freshman guard in the area. He already has a season of varsity basketball under his belt, where he acquitted himself quite nicely. Becasue he plays at Pendleton County which is outside of Boone, Campbell, Kenton he doesn't get the ink/exposure that many of the other promising freshmen get.

I don't think anyone under-rates Mason, the kid is a stud.

Max is another very solid basketball player, a true leader. Any team he is on has a chance, If he develops and outside shot he will be dangerous.

There is not a rule preventing it; however, which kids have played JV / Varsity all year then dressed in the Frosh tournament?

Seems like it'd have to be at a very small school.

Saunders is going to be a nice player. Very strong, coachable, and effective, yet still very raw at this point. He is a tremendous addition to an already strong sophomore corp at Brossart. He will not be playing freshman ball.

McGovney dominated the freshmen ranks last year as an 8th Grader and plays for the best of the best in AAU. It will interesting to see if he can transition into an impact varsity player in his first year at that level. Playing alongside Brady Jolly will be a huge plus. He will be fun to watch.

Mcclendon and McGovney are the top two freshmen in nky hands down.
His name is Ryan Bowman. He was the asst. at Conner High Varsity and previously the Coach at Conner middle . Very good coach and intense with the game . Great motivator.

Any ideas what happened to last years coach, I heard he had done a pretty good job?

Nick Jackson didn't come from Twenhofel..

Apologies. As you can tell, he wasn't on coaches radar last year. I'll be looking for his name this year.:thumb:

I would have to put Darius Mieman up there as well.

Yes, Darius will do very well at St. Henry this year.

Does anyone have any info on Newport's freshmen for this season? I've heard rumor that they have a new coach this season.

I don't think anyone under-rates Mason, the kid is a stud.

Maybe Clark "In The Dark" Francis and Brutus 14 under-rates Monroe. :D

But the real people who make their living judging talent and further developing (college coaches) doesn't under-rate him. But guys who put out lists and sells them to anyone who will purchase them well that is a different story.
