Really, because I saw him at the 7th grade tryouts last night. Seems to be a lot of rumors circulating/speculating where he will play this winter. I am going to say that he will be on the 7th grade team.

Could he do both? :idunno:

Which 4 have you heard Coach? I have heard there's going to be 1 more cut because Ayers, Racke, Bowling and Johnson are back with the Frosh.

Ayers, Monson, Swanson, Sampson. I believe Andrew (Samp) will be seeing Varsity minutes and from what I got out of it Ayers is going to come and go in the JV and Frosh levels, as of now, starting off at the JV level. So I guess that should be 3 and a half .

I would imagine there might be several that end up dressing JV before it's all over. Congrats to Ayers for sticking though. Sampson very well could see some Varsity minutes if he stays in the flow of the offense and keeps his temper in check!

I've heard his shot is deadly now, which will make him a scary match up with his strength as a 2-3-4.

Are the Soph/JR/Sr classes at SK that down that they will dress a Frosh and play him Varsity? Just curious. I have watched Sampson play the last 4 yrs and although a very good player not sure he warrants varsity minutes unless the talent pool is not there at SK in those grades.

He physically was there at the frosh practice, maybe just getting a look I dont know. If he plays 7th grade he will be one of the best point guards in NKY. If he plays frosh he will struggle but it will be good for him to get the experience. He has been 13 since April so not that young.

The dynamics of school ball are so interesting. One would think a talented

7th grader that would struggle on the freshmen level would play 8th grade. Anyone want to jump in with why he would skip a level?

Nope not happening. He was at Frosh practice again tonight. I would chalk him up as being on the roster. They truly need a point guard on this team and he has played enough games with older kids to do an adequate job. This will be good for him to truly know his role and that will be to deal the rock and not be the showtimer like he has in the past with the other teams.

Because he is old enought to be an 8th grader and this truly is only a 1 yr jump. No different than a Frosh player moving up to play JV.

Glad to see Jac Collinsworth playing. His body got beat up pretty well during football season and knew he was up in the air wether to play or not.

He is a talented athlete and could really shine in both sports. His Uncle played at Florida State and grandpa at UK so it is not just a football family.

What about Donovan McCoy, is he playing??

Who is his uncle that played at FSU? One of Cris' brothers?

Yes it appears.

I agree that they have a fantastic freshman class, but do you think all of the freshman will stay down? Not to hurt feelings, but I can see Coach Sullivan cutting some sophomores to move up freshman. Thoughts?

I not sure if he cut any soph. but their are 16 on the varsity squad and heard they are going to keep about 12 for the frosh possibly moving 3 or more to play J.V. . Coach Sullivan will probably take up the 6'5" Maniacci kid . :walk:
