Agreed, the Robinson kid was a brute! I loved watching him play. I hope he tries out for hoops at Highlands.

Wont need to tryout that is for sure, just come out. LOL Thin numbers showing up for Frosh B-ball this year.

Yes

Point guard will be a strength for them.

hmmm - Maybe I am being unfair, but I was not real impressed with his game the times I saw him. I saw several other PG's last year in his grade, who I also think are at CCH this year who I think may be stronger than him. In fact, I would probably be more surprised this young man made the team than if he was cut. We will see.

Would not supprise me either.

If Fredderick is there he will play

Another point guard has a dad as a coach

The little IHM point is tough.

Yes, if Frederick is at CCH he will be the starting PG, write that down. If he isnt then I want to see one better.

Ok- I was thinking you thought he would be the starting PG for them. I actually think this will be one of the toughest choices for the coaches. They will have some talent at this position again. Last year their gaurds were descent, but all were taller than this years group. This group reminds me more of the frosh of two years ago.

Pouncy...what's his 1st name? Bert?

I believe Bert is at Dixie.

What is the new freshman coach at Highlands like - Lykins ?

It is my understanding that they have not had try outs yet at some of the schools

Yes, T.J Lykins he is a first year teacher at Highlands also. I have heard very good things from not just a couple of the kids but also another coach on the Varsity. Wish him the best of luck this season.

They are extending tryouts for some schools as they wait for Football/soccer to end. In some cases though the numbers are so thin there may not even be cuts.

Not surprised at all that Frederick ended up at CCH; assuming the Ward kid ended up there as well? They certainly looked at all their options over the last couple of years--Best of luck to them!!

Guessing several of the better frosh that I've seen probably won't see any freshmen time, although a few do find their way back come tourney time?? :D

Probably right. Some schools lack numbers in their soph/jr classes so they move up the better frosh players. With Highlands being loaded in the SR class and probably keeping 8 not to mention having probably a solid 10-12 Sophomores and Juniors I dont see any Bird Frosh being moved up to JV so that shouldnt be an issue there. You never know though.

I think that will be the case for Monroe, McClendon and McGovney. Except, you will not see them for tourney time either.

Do not know what you mean by this. Can you explain? Thanks
