NKY Frosh Basketball Chatter

Yes they were and I have no clue why they went back to Lloyd. They were at Twenhofel in 7th grade. I figured they went to Beechwood for the football/education.

I don't think they were at Twenhofel. I thought they were at Lloyd till they came to Beechwood for the one year. As to why they left Beechwood, the better question is why did they ever leave Lloyd? It was a shocker they left Lloyd in the first place and not that surprising that they returned. If I had to make a guess, they will drop basketball at some point. Football is #1, baseball is #1A and then basketball.

You are correct I meant Tischenor in Erlanger. They had a very good 7th grade team at Tischenor a couple years ago with the Smith twins and Nico Carter at the point.

I was told today that Ryle has a new Frosh coach. What happened to the old coach? Did he go somewhere else or move up?

Birds with an 8am Sat morning practice today and I am hearing pracitices are going very well.

The dynamics of school ball are so interesting. One would think a talented

7th grader that would struggle on the freshmen level would play 8th grade. Anyone want to jump in with why he would skip a level?

Looks like Beau Hoge is no longer working out with the Highlands Frosh as of today. I am assuming he is back with the 7th grade team.

I'm pretty sure he stepped down, and is not coaching High School around here. He may be doing some Middle School, but I really don't know.

Ryan Bowman is their new coach.

Are the Soph/JR/Sr classes at SK that down that they will dress a Frosh and play him Varsity? Just curious. I have watched Sampson play the last 4 yrs and although a very good player not sure he warrants varsity minutes unless the talent pool is not there at SK in those grades.

The Soph class has a couple of players that will log varsity minutes but I think that's about it. You also have to take into account the wealth of talent in the Frosh class. Seems as if they are not going to have 3-4 of their top players on the Frosh level (as it stands right now, we all know that might change) and they are still going to be tough to beat.

I'm sure Steiner has it figured out. I'm just surprised with a school that size. Looking forward to the matchup with the Birds. Peace

:ohbrother::ohbrother:Anyone know who Beechwoods Freshman coach is?

Isn't it Dick Maile?

Michael Miller.

Who is his uncle that played at FSU? One of Cris' brothers?

Sorry for the delay in response, yes Cris's brother Greg played at FSU.

2009/2010 CovCath Freshmen roster:

Blake Bir

Nate Erpenbeck

Nick Frederick

Adam Goddard

Spencer Hemmer

Kellen Jenkins

Sawyer Pauley

Cameron Murphy

Joey Schaffer

Dan Schumate

Cameron Stansberry

Matt Summe

Zach Tobler

Brandon Ward

From watching young Cameron Murphy play, I don't know how long he will be on Freshmen Basketball team this season. He is indeed a polished player for a Freshmen!

Wondering if Nate Erpenbeck is related to Greg Erpenbeck of CovCath 2004 basketball fame...

Just curious is Cameron Stansberry related to the outstanding pitcher at Dixie?

Dan Schumate is the younger brother of CovCath pitcher/punter Adam Schumate and the Nephew of Beechwood Head Basketball Coach Schumate!
