In this one I would take SK. They are too big up front and Simpson will be too much for the Ryle defense. I also think that the Ryle offense will be shut down. Their run game is nice but SK will bring pressure in that 3-5 Defense and shut down anything in the Ryle playbook. At the end of the day the better team will win and after seeing them both play I'll take SK by 4 scores. 48-21. Two of the Ryle scores coming with the second team.

So, let me understand your thinking, SK will be up 48-7 and then remove their starters for Ryle to score 2 meaningless TD's late. That solves it in my mind, SK is way better than Highlands.

With all kidding aside, the only way this scenario plays out is if the flu comes back to Union. I forsee a defensive player to be named later, attempting to tackle Elliot by his jersey as he is drug into the endzone...just ask campbell

Campbell is no SK this year. You'll have to pick a better option for your theory to be ligitimized.

Line em up at a square dance with cones then. I've seen Hempel display some pretty mobile footwork against Highlands the last 2 years. SK has not played a D nearly as good, fast and quick as Highlands this year.

Hempel may be reasonably mobile, but he is no where near the offensive running threat that Lawrence poses. Not even close.

Hey I know, why dosn't S.K. just play their J.V. to give poor Ryle a chance. :D

Hempel does not look to run first like Lawrence often does. That's one reason why you view Lawrence as a better runner. Hempel is a better passer and he looks to pass until the last possible minute. Lawrence looks to run much more quickly and he is good at it. Hempel's scrambles are every bit as effective as Lawrence and again, Hempel runs only after he has exhausted multiple options when receivers are covered. Different styles - both are very effective.

I think some of you guys need to get out and see Hempel play. He's a better pure qb than Lawrence. Lawrence looks to be a better runner.

If you're a fan of qb's this is a game for you as both teams are blessed to have 2 very strong JR qbs.

IMO Simon Kenton is the team to beat. Until someone in Nky proves it wrong. Simon wins by 14.

Ryle might want to consider putting Elliott in at LB on certain situations vs SK...heard he's also a beast on D...Everything will have to be put on the line to win this one!

That probably would benefit them.

That probably would benefit them.

Why? If that's the case then there are probably a few other players only playing on one side of the ball that could probably go both ways and make this team better.

Because he's a natural football player. And if that's the case then coach needs to get them in there you are exactly right.

If you have the athletes, IMO they should be on the field as much as possible. I know Ryle likes to have their separate units, but I think the great players play both ways more often than not, i.e. Simpson, Lawrence, Collinsworth just to name a few to give their team the best chance to win the ball game. Does Collinsworth ever leave the field?
