I'll take SK in this one. I believe a unsporstman like conduct call or two will change this game. It seems like any Ryle game I've ever seen they get atleat one of them. When Miles Simpson and Co. are the offense you better not spot them 15 yards!

It's the difference in this weeks game IMO.

Going with SK 38-20. Just think Lawrence will win the QB matchup. I think is much more mobile than Hempel. Then there is Mr. Simpson, enough said. Here are my 6A seeds:

1. SK

2. Ryle

3. Conner

4. Boone

Also, this is not the only Thursday game. I now there are other Thursday games, because there is no school on Friday (at least in Boone County).

Ryle wins this game, they're too strong for SK. Ryle wins 6A this year.

You are right about Simpson, love watching him play and he is a special player. He is a super weapon and my vote for Mr. Football in KY. However, you don't know football if you really believe that Lawrence is "much more mobile" than Hempel. I hope that Hempel takes your comment personal. Overall, Ryle has more weapons with Eubank, Elliott, Mullens, Fugate, Hempel, Nichols, Lonkard and Carney. As to another cheap shot comment in this thread, Ryle has had 1 unsportsmanlike penalty called this year.

Ryle will beat SK just because they can.

Rule 13

Owen Mace Warner was born at 5:15 a.m. on 10-3-09. He weighed 8 lbs. 4 ounces. His length was 20 and 1/2 inches. Amanda told Coach Warner at the end of halftime she thinks her water broke and she would text him for sure. It was confirmed and he exited the stadium immediately to leave with her to go to the hospital (Christ Hospital so they were close). Owen was named after Coach Warner's father-in-law who did some great fundraising and provided his farm for their annual Father-Son Senior Leadership Camp. He unfortunately passed away in May with Cancer. The Doctors believe Owen muttered at delivery "Beat SK" but did say usually newborns do not talk. However it is for sure that Owen cannot wait to witness the big matchup on Fox Sports and he will be wearing orange and black!

Also, possibly named after Owen Hauck?

Ryle by 2 TDs. SK will not be able to stop both the run and passing game of Ryle.

One would deduce that SK is going to have to decide to either key on stopping the run or the pass. Either way, Ryle's balanced attack will have opportunities to move the football. You simply cannot take away all their weapons and barring key turnovers & penalties Ryle will move the ball on SK. Miles Simpson may be the best back in KY, but I have to believe Ryle will stack the box and try and make SK throw the ball. Both teams will score.....

Wow, really...no problem at all eh? If SK blows out Ryle and Conner, then they should well represent NKy in the state playoffs because that would be impressive.....bring on the game and let's settle this!

Does what HC's running game did some how make Ryle's running game just as good?

Henry Clay had NO passing game that night. S.K. had 9 up in the box. If they put 9 up in the box against Ryle Himple will throw for over 200 yards. I'm sure the Ryle coaches have watched the tape of the H.C. game. It was very clear to see that night where S.K. weekness is on D. But that being said. Turnovers will be the key. Without a dought 2 of the 3 best teams in NKY this year. Get their early and don't for get to try the kettle corn! :thumb:

Thanks for the update. :dancingpa

If its close at the end, one more thing to think about. I have been to 3 of the S.K. games and 3 of the Ryle games. It looks like 4 or 5 of the S.K. player go both ways. For Ryle I only saw 1. And he dosn't get that many snaps on D. Could this be a factor????

Try using spellcheck...who is Ryle Himple?

Ryle's Conner Hemple is a very good QB and has shown very good mobility lately. Of course none of their recent opponents have seriously challenged them since Highlands beat them. If they can hold Simpson to less than 200 yards, I have to give Ryle the nod based upon versatility of offense -- if all else is even (turnovers, penalties) I would expect a result something like 42-31.
