Mr. Kentucky AJ Mayer?
There are a lot of great players this season in Kentucky which is awesome for our state. Is A.J. Mayer the best? Also because Coach Eviston has tremendous class with opponents and respects the score, it seems AJ has only really played 16 quarters out of a possible 24. Does this make a difference? What are his stats? I believe this young man is as good as it gets in Kentucky, so what do others think and who is in contention?

Bishop Brossart Hires Lee Teegarden
Lee Teegarden is a very bright coach. What he was able to do with the Pendleton County football program was outstanding. I was able to watch them play, and their guys played as hard as I have witnessed young men go at it. The last season at Pendleton County, I believe out of their seven wins, they were behind at half four out of the seven wins and two or three of those seven wins were in overtime. They were beating teams that were much more talented. Very impressed the way the Bishop Brossart administration has handled the hiring of their next coach and Lee will be an outstanding fit within their philosophy. Congratulations to Lee and the Bishop Brossart football program!

2017 Prospect QB Tanner Morgan at Ryle
I am sure Trinity's back-up qb has never been in a game.

2017 Prospect QB Tanner Morgan at Ryle
Before any Division 1 school signs a high school quarterback, they will have certainly seen film on him in competition or been to a game. That is the one position they cannot get wrong. They may offer at a camp but that offer only holds up if they perform at a high level on friday night which most likely they have already seen.

2017 Prospect QB Tanner Morgan at Ryle
Great job Dad! We will see who ends up being the best. I know for certain, not many young men are going to out work, out study, out film-study or out lift Tanner Morgan.

2017 Prospect QB Tanner Morgan at Ryle
You are not very educated on recruiting. Do you really believe they are going to offer a kid based on what he does out of pads? Ask any college coach that recruits, and they will tell you their performance on friday nights is the number one factor. All of the Division 1 schools that offered Conner Hempel were in attendance at one of his high school football games and evaluated film extensively while he competed on the football field. Camps do help but a lot of guys can throw well in a non-contact situation. In Ryle's offense in three years, he probably threw for 35 td's and ran for 20. Whether you believe he should have thrown for more or not, those plays he made on Friday nights determined his scholarship offer from those schools. Vanderbilt was extremely close in offering, as well, and they were in attendance also at one of his games.

Ryle cancels series against Highlands!!!
2010 was the last year of a two year contract. That was the last year Ryle and Highlands played two times per year. 2011/2012 was the next two year contract. Now teams will mostly sign two year contracts for 2013/2014.

2017 Prospect QB Tanner Morgan at Ryle
It was good enough to showcase for Conner Hempel who received four full Division 1 scholarship offers- (Miami, OH, Western Kentucky, Toledo, and Bowling Green University) before choosing Harvard where he is competing for playing time as a true sophomore. Tanner Morgan breathes Ryle Raider Football and he will be showcased well. He will have a number of good receivers compared to what Conner Hempel was able to work with. Not that they weren't good football players but the starting two receivers for Ryle when Conner was a senior were both 5'7" and 5'5". Tanner will be working with four to five players all over 6'1". Tanner Morgan's brother was a captain for the football team this past season at offensive guard- he breathes Ryle Football as well. Actually, the whole family does.

Ryle cancels series against Highlands!!!
Please give me evidence where Warner said his goal was to build a nationally recognized program after that victory. I believe he knows the area pretty well. With Cooper just being built down the road in 2008 and probably another being built in the near future again in Boone County, I seriously doubt that was stated. However, Ryle has sent players to some big colleges in the ten years he has been there. Was there any big time college players prior to 2003? Maybe that is how he wants the program to be recognized so his players can get exposure and recruitment when they have talent. What I have heard him say is that there was not a college program that came to recruit the players his first couple of years, so it appears his goal of being a nationally recruitable Kentucky high school has been accomplished. Just ask Notre Dame, Navy, Marshall, Harvard, Western Kentucky, Army, Georgetown College, Morehead State, as well as several smaller schools that have landed the Ryle Raiders. I believe they like his players, as well as, the large and small schools that lost out in recruitment.

The Raiders beat Boone County in 2005 at Ryle. You may have meant 2006.

Ryle cancels series against Highlands!!!
In 2005, Ryle played Fern Creek in the first round of the play-offs and lost a great game. I can check again but I am pretty sure the district championships were determined the seasons of 2006 and 2007 by the play-offs. I believe Ryle even has a banner in the gym stating the 2006 district championship, as well as the 2010 district championship. I would think you would know since you seem to be a big supporter. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Ryle cancels series against Highlands!!!
You are truly something. The Ryle players will play as hard as they can so we will see what happens. However, your hatred towards Ryle is embarrassing.

Ryle cancels series against Highlands!!!
It is hard to imagine Cooper taking over as a king of Boone County Football. Ryle's jv beat them 40 - 0. Ryle's freshman beat them in two games a combined score of 61 - 12. However, Cooper has done a great job of building a nice football program and Ryle looks forward to opening the 2013 against them again in week 0.

Ryle cancels series against Highlands!!!
Check the trophy cabinet in Ryle's school. That year the play-offs determined who was a district champion because they played each other in the first two rounds.

What's going on Ryle?
We have never put any of our young men in an unsafe situation. Safety is our number one concern. Parents over the years have attended most of our practices as we have never denied access to any of our practices to anyone.

What's going on Ryle?
What a thread! First I would like to personally wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year! I see there is some concern about our program but if you talk to the former players, present players and future players you will see they are not very concerned. We run a very tough and disciplined program- which we feel is extremely effective. A lot of the players appreciate this and most importantly want this as part of our program. We as coaches do our very best to be role models and teach our young men life through football. It is tough to be a part of our program and there has been success but we are striving for more. We feel we have an excellent staff and administration that can take us to the level we and everyone else expects. We have a solid foundation for the future but we also feel our program needs an update. There have been two programs both within 8 miles that are very successful and have pulled some of our numbers. That is great because it gives more young men an opportunity to play this great game and they are both very good programs. Our coaching style has also pulled some numbers which is where we want to improve. This process has already taken place and is working. The open house is to allow more people the opportunity to see firsthand what we are trying to accomplish and buy into our program. The Union Raiders has been an amazing success and to be able to establish these relationships at such an earlier age has been awesome. We do understand the concerns and have always listened- this is how we get better. High school football is about adding to these young men's lives to take on life's challenges and we have accomplished this in many ways. We are looking for more. Please do not hesitate to contact me or anyone on our staff- we have always had an open door policy and some of you have some great ideas. BTW, ask any official out there in the competition with the players- they can tell you what kind of program any school has. We hope to see some of you at the open house- I will be there. lol! Let us all make it a great 2012!

What's going on Ryle?
Are the majority of parents' complaints about playing time or wanting their child in another position? I would guess 95% even if they come up with some other complaint- it usually starts with the coaches' decision about playing time or position. I do not think their AD will listen to any of these complaints which is what I was mainly referring about. However, you are correct. Their AD is excellent and will listen to other parents' concerns if the head coach cannot resolve for some reason. First, I believe he would send them to discuss any and all situations to the head coach regardless of which sport. It helps to have administrators in any school that have been former head coaches which he was. He is a tremendous asset to Ryle.

What's going on Ryle?
Facts are 54 started the season- 56 ended the season (this doesn't mean they didn't have a lot of injuries but those players were still a part of the entire season). They actually added 2 guys- 1 transfer and 1 kicker. Not one player quit that started the season. However to compete with their schedule I would imagine they will impliment a system to better attract more numbers at this time- sounds like what they are doing with the open house. Numbers are important but Ryle will not take a step back in the discipline and toughness required to be a part of the team- most players are proud of this level- they just need to add some more fun in the mix to increase numbers. Players have fun when they beat Highlands.

What's going on Ryle?
Was there something wrong when he started the tradition of the father-son leadership camp or the mother-son senior dinner? These events were established 9 years ago and have tremendously benefited many of the relationships between players, parents and coaches. He will always look for ways to improve the program and the open house sounds like a great tradition. I will be there. I heard he will have some former players there to discuss the benefits of the program as well. I heard he has about 30 committments right now- people that want to learn more and believe in the program- could be a full house and time well spent.

What's going on Ryle?
The Athletic Director at Ryle is not going to listen to any complaints about the Ryle Raider Football Program from parents. He has seen the program produce tremendous young men on and off the field consistently for the past 9 years. He has many young men the past 9 years that he interacts with daily that have never complained to him about the program. Parents are important but I would imagine the ones that are disgruntled are the ones that are not allowed to dictate policy. Ryle Football will continue to be a force- btw only two teams have beaten Highlands in the past 5 years- Ryle is one- must be doing something correct. If you need testimony ask the 190 players that have been through the program as seniors the past 9 years. Many are in college or the military succeeding at high levels. Many have given Ryle football credit for helping with that success. I have been told Ryle Football is holding an open house to discuss any and all aspects of the program on February 2nd, 2012. I know for a fact Coach Warner would listen to any and all parent complaints- he explained to me he has only heard extremely positive feedback about the tremendous hurdles the team overcame this season. In 2010, Ryle finished the season as the #1 team in the northern kentucky football coaches' poll- who is the last team besides Highlands to accomplish that. I believe they also finished the # 3 ranked team in the state to finish the season. You guys are throwing spitballs at a battleship.

What is Highlands' secret?
Many reasons but their speed development is outstanding and consistently the difference every Friday/Saturday night. Highlands' football is a passion and top priority for many of these young men. Many have family members that won state championships. These young men are not only being held accountable by an outstanding staff when it comes to performance but they are being held accountable at home for their performance as well. The feeder system is also preparing these young men for the high school level with complete focus on what it takes to be a Bluebird.

Franklin-Simpson vs. Highlands Predictions
Franklin-Simpson has David Elson on their staff as the defensive coordinator- that could make a difference. He coordinated the 2002 National Championship defense at Western Kentucky and he was a successful HC at WKU before WKU went D1. The Franklin-Simpson HC is obviously doing things correct to hire Elson. There are not many high school defensive coordinators with his talent. However, Highlands is a very difficult task to ask of anyone this season except Trinity. Why does Trinity and Highlands not play in the regular season? That would be an awesome game for the state of Kentucky.

Who will be the next Coach at Dixie?
How many actually quit the team during the season? I would consider this a more important evaluation. Just looking at their roster at the end of the season it appears they added players from the beginning to the end including 11 freshman but none were removed. Looks like 54 to start and 65 to end (obvioulsy I am not asking about injuries). I watched Ryle beat Highlands on tv in 2010. It is obvious they have a work ethic that some young men may decide not to partake in but you don't beat Highlands (who destroyed their state champion opponent in 2010 by 50) without a great work ethic. BTW, they have a nice web-site.

Who will be the next Coach at Dixie?
They do draw from 25 percent of a county. Did you realize the county built a school 4 miles away? Didn't I hear they started their own feeder system? That will fix the numbers and they will be quality numbers. By the way, isn't Ryle the last school to beat Highlands and the last Kentucky school since 2006? I believe they also lost a star running back (probably battling Towles for Mr. Kentucky right now if healthy and the state rushing record) but they battled away at 7 wins, 2nd in a tough district and a play-off victory? Seems to me they are in good shape.
