Should Cov Cath install lights?

Featured Replies

It's sad those taxpayers aren't sending their children to the public schools they live within and putting their tuition money towards those public schools and wow what great facilities and educations all of our kids could get.The private school kids would learn about diversity early on and sharing with their less fortunate neighbors. It's those taxpayers that choose to put their extra money elsewhere by keeping it within their private community. It's just a shame the entire community could benefit from the extra money spent at the public schools.

Joining forces (public and private) would create better educations with fantastic facilites for both groups and some fantastic sports teams.

Leather football helmets used to be traditional also.Get in the new millenium and spring for some lights.

Here is a thought for all those non CovCath fans that think CovCath should spring for lights at Wooten Field!

Now I know the following folks on BGP's will be sending in a minimum of $1,000.00 apiece to this worthwhile project since they feel CovCath must have lights

Thank you in advance...

Wow. There is so much wrong here that I just don't know where to begin. Let's just agree to disagree.

I too do not know what to say, but I truly feel sorry for you if you think this way. Oh my

After watching Saturdays game and knowing how little practice time the team got during the week, how can anyone say we do not lights.

The only people I have talked to not for lights ,are one's posted here.

Everyone at the game yesterday ,parents, alum's , and player's I talked to, are for lights.

If you are a supporter of CovCath and kids, it is time for lights

To light or not to light is totally up to the good people at Cov. Cath. I have no doubt they can raise the money if they want to.

As far as the neighbors go....if you buy a house by a football field that is the risk you take. Besides, it is only a few hours on a handfull of Fridays in the fall. I do remember years ago, the neighbors who lived by the field having a yard full of people watching the games for free. Then Cov. Cath planted trees and put an end to that. No doubt people living near the field are Cov Cath fans.

For your information most of the neighbors came before the football field. In fact, the property the football field is on didn't even belong to the school.

Private school kids don't know diversity or sharing with their less fortunate neighbors? Have you ever walked through the halls of Prince of Peace or St. Ben's grade school? Granted, Cov Cath's students aren't from a particularly "diverse" community, but they're no less "diverse" than the boys at Highlands, Dixie, or Beechwood.

By the way, Cov Cath students logged over 12,000 hours of community service last year...yes, that's twelve THOUSAND hours. Nooo, they don't share with their less fortunate neighbors, do they? :ohbrother:

By the way, the reason we don't "join forces" is because your public schools DON'T TEACH RELIGION. Some people find that well worth the money they spend on the private schools they send their kids to. If you don't think it's worth the money, fine by me. Just don't complain about us spending our money on our kids.

"Spring" for lights?? Man, what do you do for a living, because apparently your making a lot more money than anybody I know. I don't call $600K-700K "springing" for anything.
