USC 18 Ohio St. 15

Featured Replies

I started a thread about this last year, and have never understood it. They have long history, great tradition, a fantastic head coach, top recruits and NFL caliber players, a great band and cheerleaders and a championship program. What is it that you "despise" about them?

How could you forget THE SONG GIRLS!!!

The USC players have no class what so ever. After the game they showed no respect for OSU players or fans.

Wow did yu need see OSU players talking trash, shoving, and hitting after whistle all night long? I really didn't think OSU was like that. They have turned into a pretty dirty team.

After watching this game one thing comes to my mind. Neither one of these teams could play with Florida. I am not a Florida fan, by any means, so I am not just being a homer. I honestly don't think either team has the offense to score on Florida. I also don't see either of them stopping Florida from moving the football. I think USC would play better with UF just based on the athleticism of USC. However, neither of these teams is a "top three" team to me. I think Texas and UF (and possibly Alabama) are better than these teams, JMO.

BTW, great game. Not a lot of offense on either side, just the way I like it.

Yes I definitly agree. I believe that UF and Texas are the top dogs right now. I'd be surprised if those 2 teams don't meet in the Nat'l championship game.

Why? Because they went to their fans and Band to thank them for being there, like they do after every game? They have as much right to do that as Ohio St. players and coaches had arm in arm singing, I am assuming, the Alma Mater. Great game, glad the Trojans won in a hostile environment.

I personally like USC compared to other elite programs. However, the perception is that they are probably the dirtiest program around in terms of recruiting. That + arrogant coach (who I love) + always good = A lot of people not liking you.

SC defense deserves a ton of credit. 8 guys go to the National Football League and they reload with Galippo, Griffen, Casey, et. al. coming up big.

Lack of talent is never a concern for the Trojans. :D

The Terell Pryor stock is sliding downward quickly...

Pryor is oozing talent, but the way he looked on their final drive was B-A-D, BAD.

Even in losing, I think the Buckeyes got something out of this game. At least they showed they belonged on the field with an elite team like Southern Cal. That has happened for a few years now.

However, that only goes so far. They had the perfect storm to beat USC and couldn't get it done. The game was in the 'Shoe and the crowd was as loud as it's ever been (according to Herbie and Musberger). And, USC brought a talented team, but lead by a true freshman QB.

If these two teams played again later in the season, I think the Trojans would control the game. Especially, if it was played outside of Columbus.

Either way, great game...great showing by the Buckeyes.

It's good to be a Trojan fan.

I always hear about the dirty recruiting but its never more than a news story. Ohio St. on the other hand . . .

There is an article on ESPN about Pryor taking blame for the loss. It looks like he might be maturing a bit.

Reggie Bush?

They win too much. I actually don't despise them, I just like to see them lose.

I always root for the underdog when two teams I don't have an interest in are playing. Most everyone USC plays is an underdog.

Reggie Bush?

More than a news story?

Corey Brown WR/RB/CB considered one of if not the top player from PA class of 2010 verbaled to OSU after the game.... that helps.

More than a news story?

I thought so.

Also, if you'll notice my original post I said that is the perception most have. Perception is all that matters to most.
