I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a fumble or injury on a QB sneak. If you want to say it's impressive for the O-line then that's fine, but we were talking about the QB

Look, you can argue with the wall or LRCW if you want, but you've got no sale with me.

Who's arguing?

Just got back from the game.....

OSU has been asking TP to do too much ever since he arrived on campus he is a true soph still trying to learn how to play QB. He played a bad game tonight. I am confident now he will spend all 4 years at OSU.

Feel really bad for the D. They played their hearts out and will take this team very far this season. The offense simply is not up to par. We have a Soph QB/WR/HB who just aren't ready yet.

Hats off to USC O coordinator for finding a way to let McKnight beat us in the final minutes.

Everyone said USC was going to win by 2-4 TD's when in reality OSU gave the game away. I wish these teams could rematch in two years when the youth develops but next year starts the contract with Miami.

The new youth at OSU is really showing now in many good ways and in many bad ways.

Buckeyes lose again in the big one. This time against a USC team that isn't what they have been...with a Frosh QB in front of the biggest crowd ever there. McNight finally showed up late.

I thought both defenses played well. Pryor is one of the most overrated players in a long time. Absolute freak of an athelte but throws about like me. Had USC's safeties + LBers not gotten out of position uncharacteristically I'm not sure OSU scores tonight. When you have a guy that can run like that run him!

It is really hard not to like USC. Pete Carroll + Urban Myer are in a league of their own (Saban close). Caroll is the kind of guy people want to play for. He is up beat, passionate and makes the game fun for the kids. The atmosphere was awesome but he had them loose as a goose for the most part.

I didn't think USC's safeties played very well but I love watching them play!

OSU should do well in the Big 10 since it stinks for the most part. Mich/Penn St are about the only competition it seems.

Actually it's really easy to not like USC. Personally I despise the University of Spoiled Children, always have and always will.

I respect Caroll, he is a heck of a coach.

I thought OSU looked pretty good. I look for USC to drop at least two games this year.

I thought punting was the right choice vs trying a 54 yarder with that much time left in the game. What I didn't get was why Tressell (who is one of the most consevative coaches I've ever seen) didn't run the ball on the 3rd down play. If Prior doesn't get sacked, they definitely kick the FG.

OHIO ST will be ok. They will win the BIG 10. And hopefully get to play them again. I have a feeling that things will turnout better for OSU next time.

I started a thread about this last year, and have never understood it. They have long history, great tradition, a fantastic head coach, top recruits and NFL caliber players, a great band and cheerleaders and a championship program. What is it that you "despise" about them?

Possibly, but I doubt it. The Cal game scares me now. The others will depend upon the development of the QB. All the other pieces appear to be in place.

Pryor and Barkley were the focal points in this game. All the other parts were pretty even. Whom do you think will develop faster by year's end?:sssh:

After watching this game one thing comes to my mind. Neither one of these teams could play with Florida. I am not a Florida fan, by any means, so I am not just being a homer. I honestly don't think either team has the offense to score on Florida. I also don't see either of them stopping Florida from moving the football. I think USC would play better with UF just based on the athleticism of USC. However, neither of these teams is a "top three" team to me. I think Texas and UF (and possibly Alabama) are better than these teams, JMO.

BTW, great game. Not a lot of offense on either side, just the way I like it.

I know im going to catch some opinions on this one. But I look for USC to lose a couple games in the regular season this year. They are not the team they have been over the past years. Maybe they will improve and get better im not sure. But OSU played very well, they deserved to win that football game. OSU will more than likely win the Big Ten this year. With an exception of Florida, the National title is up for grabs this year. I'm not overly impressed with anyone this year.

Barkley, w/o a doubt. I think Pryor is going to start thinking that he is going to have to run the ball to win. While it would be nice for him to be a little more apt to run, I think he will try to over-do things with his feet. I could see OSU dropping some games in the future. Watch out though if he does stay the full four years. He is a GREAT athlete and will come around in the end, he is a year off IMO.

Barkely, with the exception of the last drive, didn't impress me. He can only get better as the year goes on.

All of the things you just said could be said about Ohio State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Tennessee, Florida State, and Oklahoma football. As well as Duke, Kentucky, UCLA, Louisville, North Carolina, and Kansas basketball. Yet people have no problem with the fact that there are people out there who despise those programs. In fact there are probably a couple that you feel that way about. Reason or no reason.

I agree completely. IMO Florida, Texas, Alabama, and Ole Miss are the 4 best teams in the country. Not neccesarily in that order.
