September 13, 200917 yr He wasn't impressive at all, IMO A freshman leading a team on a 92 yd drive with 100,000 people screaming at him is pretty impressive in my book no matter how you slice it.
September 13, 200917 yr How many freshman 19 year-olds playing in front of 106,000 screaming fans in a game of top teams on national television? Someone's got to get it to McKnight. I'll guess one. I'm sure USC has 3 other QB's that can hand the ball off and throw screens too. The kid will have a good career, but I wasn't impressed at all tonight.
September 13, 200917 yr He wasn't impressive at all, IMO I didn't say he was impressive, but this isn't the first time I've seen you say I could have done this, or I could have done that. You are obviously a very talented athlete who blesses the rest of us fat couch potatoes with your presence.
September 13, 200917 yr Actually its true.... He completed a pass to McKnight on 3rd and 8 for 21 yards The pass to McCoy was 1st and 10 It was not a screen pass, it was a circle route to McKnight. The following pass to McCoy was a touch pass in the seam of the O$U zone and it was perfectly thrown. I do not remember any screen passes on the final drive.
September 13, 200917 yr Tressel passes to end the half and stops the clock which gives the Trojans the ball with time for a field goal. Then decides not to kick the field goal at games end. (Which I admit I agreed w/ at the time) Both could mean Tressel's stock maybe falling too. As far as Pryor I CANNOT stand watching him in a close game. He just looks scared as can be.
September 13, 200917 yr Author Actually its true.... He completed a pass to McKnight on 3rd and 8 for 21 yards The pass to McCoy was 1st and 10 I'm sorry, silly me. The McCoy pass for 26 was on first and 10. It was the pass to Williams on 3rd and 9.:eyeonyou: Or, the 3 or 4 QB sneaks for 1st downs . . .
September 13, 200917 yr It was not a screen pass, it was a circle route to McKnight. The following pass to McCoy was a touch pass in the seam of the O$U zone and it was perfectly thrown. Both with the game on the line, in front of the biggest/loudest crowd in the history of Ohio Stadium. Pretty dang impressive, and he was easily the most impressive of the two qb's on the field tonight.
September 13, 200917 yr I didn't say he was impressive, but this isn't the first time I've seen you say I could have done this, or I could have done that. You are obviously a very talented athlete who blesses the rest of us fat couch potatoes with your presence. I said I could hand a ball to McKnight...I'm sure you could do that too. Care to show me other times I've said it? I remember saying I could bunt better than the majority of the Cincinnati Reds, which is quite easy to do...that's about it
September 13, 200917 yr Buckeyes lose again in the big one. This time against a USC team that isn't what they have been...with a Frosh QB in front of the biggest crowd ever there. McNight finally showed up late. I thought both defenses played well. Pryor is one of the most overrated players in a long time. Absolute freak of an athelte but throws about like me. Had USC's safeties + LBers not gotten out of position uncharacteristically I'm not sure OSU scores tonight. When you have a guy that can run like that run him! It is really hard not to like USC. Pete Carroll + Urban Myer are in a league of their own (Saban close). Caroll is the kind of guy people want to play for. He is up beat, passionate and makes the game fun for the kids. The atmosphere was awesome but he had them loose as a goose for the most part. I didn't think USC's safeties played very well but I love watching them play! OSU should do well in the Big 10 since it stinks for the most part. Mich/Penn St are about the only competition it seems.
September 13, 200917 yr I said this in the update thread. And I said it when they decided to punt. That is going to cost them this football game. And I was right, shouldve let Pettrey kick the fieldgoal and wik this game for you. 6th year senior at home, with a great leg. But nontheless good game. As far as Barkley goes I was not impressed. Mcknight came alive on that last drive for USC!

Also, Byers, the guard, got owned by Ohio St.'s DT (Cameron?). That's 2 All-Americans who really didn't have good games. However, I thought the C, Kris O'Dowd, was exceptional, particularly coming off a dislocated knee.
September 13, 200917 yr Both with the game on the line, in front of the biggest/loudest crowd in the history of Ohio Stadium. Pretty dang impressive, and he was easily the most impressive of the two qb's on the field tonight. :thumb: Very impressive for a true freshman.
September 13, 200917 yr Author Losing Sarkisian as the signal-caller is also apparent. Trojans not using all of their offensive personnel efficiently. Almost no use of Stanley Havili tonight, and almost none of the trademark Trojan bootleg passes to TE's.
September 13, 200917 yr USC wouldn't have won the game without McKnight....simple as that. I thought Barkley was much more impressive closing off the first half than the last drive. Just one person's opinion. If the final drive started with 3 minutes on the clock and he was forced to pass the ball all the way down the field then my opinion may be different. Anyway, this won't be the last game winning drive Barkley leads.

I remember saying I could bunt better than the majority of the Cincinnati Reds, which is quite easy to do...that's about it No you said I could have handed the ball off and thrown screens for 92 yards too. Bunting the ball against major league pitching isn't easy for us couch potatoes, and it's difficult for a lot of major league baseball players, but it's obviously very easy for a great athlete such as you. I'm really surprised you're not playing in the US Open finals, or paired with Tiger in the final round tomorrow.
