USC 18 Ohio St. 15

Pryor and Barkley were the focal points in this game. All the other parts were pretty even. Whom do you think will develop faster by year's end?:sssh:

Barkley is a true QB. IMO he will get better faster.

Prior is the superior athlete, but IMO, he is a running back who can throw, he's not a true QB. Doesn't mean he can't develop into one, but he's got a much bigger learning curve.

Just got back from the game.....

OSU has been asking TP to do too much ever since he arrived on campus he is a true soph still trying to learn how to play QB. He played a bad game tonight. I am confident now he will spend all 4 years at OSU.

Feel really bad for the D. They played their hearts out and will take this team very far this season. The offense simply is not up to par. We have a Soph QB/WR/HB who just aren't ready yet. Hats off to USC O coordinator for finding a way to let McKnight beat us in the final minutes.

Everyone said USC was going to win by 2-4 TD's when in reality OSU gave the game away. I wish these teams could rematch in two years when the youth develops but next year starts the contract with Miami.

The new youth at OSU is really showing now in many good ways and in many bad ways.

Good post J.A.. I especially agree with the bolded, this OSU team is a very young one and as I have said, imo is a year away from a very, very good team.

After watching this game one thing comes to my mind. Neither one of these teams could play with Florida. I am not a Florida fan, by any means, so I am not just being a homer. I honestly don't think either team has the offense to score on Florida. I also don't see either of them stopping Florida from moving the football. I think USC would play better with UF just based on the athleticism of USC. However, neither of these teams is a "top three" team to me. I think Texas and UF (and possibly Alabama) are better than these teams, JMO.

BTW, great game. Not a lot of offense on either side, just the way I like it.

Teams like FL and Texas have veteran players leading their teams. It means a ton in college football well really on any level.

The USC offensive line, the one with four NFL draft choices on it, the offense that Lee Corso said could score on an NFL team, scored 11 points. (Not counting the first one where we gave it to them on the 2 yard line).

I agree completely. IMO Florida, Texas, Alabama, and Ole Miss are the 4 best teams in the country. Not neccesarily in that order.

Wow, you actually believe Ole Miss is the 4th best team in the country?

Do you beleive BYU is 7th?

Don't agree with either of them bieng 4 or 7. But honestly I don't agree with USC bieng 3rd either. But this is a arguement to be had in the AP top 25 thread I started not here.

Lets see. How many are on a team? TWO

It's not all about the QB. 11 players make a team. OSU's line is less exp. then USC. I believe on both sides of the ball. I know for sure on offense its true:sssh:

Great game, I thought that Ohio State had a great game plan and I have to say that I underestimated the Buckeyes tremendously. Pryor and Barkley both impressed me, TP choked towards the end while Barkley showed poise beyond his years. I think Barkley is the real deal.

In a game where one score made the difference and one quarterback led a long scoring drive for the win, I think it is safe to say the the quarterback made the difference. Most everything else was even. USC's quarterback was the difference.

I started a thread about this last year, and have never understood it. They have long history, great tradition, a fantastic head coach, top recruits and NFL caliber players, a great band and cheerleaders and a championship program. What is it that you "despise" about them?

The USC players have no class what so ever. After the game they showed no respect for OSU players or fans.

Congrats to USC they were the better team and won the game. I was at the game and the crowd was the loudest I have ever heard it. Also I think OSU is a year away from being one of the best teams in the nation due to the youth but it also depends on how Pryor grows and develops as a quarterback. Great game to be at and once again congrats to USC on pulling it out.

How? Did they dance on the logo? Stomp on their terrible towels? Should they have serenaded the crowd with the Buckeye fight song? What is it that you believe they should have done that you see from other programs?

The QB can't score without blocking. Take the offense line off the field and let the QB try to score. Its 75% of whats :sssh:up front.
