Beechwood's sheer determination will keep this game close, but from what I've heard I don't think they have the overall team speed and skill level to pull out a W. Both teams are a little down talent-wise from what we all expect from these two teams, but Beechwood is down more and that will be the difference. I also think Cov Cath coaching staff is doing a great job of developing a game plan that works to perfection, as evidenced by the LaSalle and Campbell County games where they came out on their first 2 possessions and marched right down the field to score.

 

Speed is not an issue at all. This Beechwood team has very good team speed. The problem is size. This is the smallest Beechwood line in years and they are having a tough time on defense because of it. No linemen are putting pressure on the QB and their ends can not contain. The fastest DB'sand LB's in the world can look bad if the QB has all day to throw the ball.

Didn't CCH's punter get hurt towards the end of the Campbell County game? I thought I remember him being helped off by a couple players.

duke42 have you been to PeeWee's? Obviously not. It's no different than an Applebee's or a TGIF. It is the most kid friendly place you will find.

 

I just dont think any of those places would be acceptable if alcohol was being served at the time the kids are there. (school event) Will he be closed to the public ? Just to much risk when alcohol is involved. JMO. One drunk joe public could ruin someones life or cause trouble. If Peewee wants to do something for the athletes he could close the bar portion. JMO

You throw out the records in this game. This is one of the best rivarlys in the state. One other question I know this is off the beaten path but why do people still think We Lost the 94 State game to Murray even though the title is at the school and we are in the Record books as the State Champs? I don't care if I live to be 90 this will always be a very touchie subject for me. LOL I got into a heated debate tonight with someone who was arguing with me over this LOL

Hope you're not hinting for a change greenhornet. The broadcasts started in November of 2004 with just basketball, then football was added in 2005 with some soccer and baseball. Mark Wehry has done all but about 5 of the 250 as the play-by-play guy and the majority of the color commentary has been by CovCath Colonel class of '99, and '97 state football champion Jason "the J-man" Elfers. Brook Dyas and Jeff Moffitt do some soccer games. Mark was missing for the Ryle game this year, the first football game he's missed since the they started doing broadcasts. Some notable color analyst have been Mikey D Danneman, Greg Spencer, Tom Dinkel, Tim Tierney, Kevin Bleser, Tom Eckerle, Gerry Stewart, Dave Schabell, Frank Niemeyer, Mike Listerman, Billy Schult, Max Pauley, just to name a few.

Beechwood has already proven they can't stop the run. If Cov Cath runs the ball they will put up big numbers and win by 3 TD's. JMO
