Beechwood and Cov Cath didn't play in 2001. They played Highlands during that 2 year span. They played Highlands right after 9'11 at Highlands with the Bluebirds beating them 42-16. Someone needs to tell Charlie Coleman's play by play guy that. He said on the broadcast the during the Cov Cath Campbell County game that he did a Cov Cath Highlands game that Saturday after 9'11. He was talking about the Beechwood Highlands game. Cov Cath and Highlands never play that early.

 

1994: 19-10 Our Denfense shut down Cogswell and the late Galen Healy.

1995: 14-13 Cov Cath's Kicker missed a extra point with under a minute left.

1996: 21-7 I know that I'm wrong on the score but I think Beechwood beat them bye at least 2 touchdowns.

1997: 27-24 I know that I'm wrong on the score but I remember from this game that Jeremy Madden had a 95 yard run. Beechwood punted to Cov Cath all they had to do was run out the clock and they would win but Tommy Fowee fumbled the punt. Beechwood recovered and scored with 20 seconds remaining. I know this game was a three to four point game.

My 2nd favorite CovCath Beechwood moment happened in my son's freshman year in 2004 at Beechwood. Beechwood was running all over the Colonels at 5 yards a pop. They had the ball at mid field and it was 2nd and 5. A first down and they get into victory formation. Someone decided to throw the ball, I think it was Charlie Weis. CovCath's Joseph Castanada picked the ball off. I remember a long pass on a WR option by Kyle Callahan, and I think the Colonels won on a long Michael Awadalla field goal. Final score 26-25. My favorite is three years later with the 14-7 win on senior night under the lights at the first ever night game at CovCath and we were on the air. That capped off 4 straight years of wins over CovCath and my boy going undefeated against the Tigers.

To Colonels Wear Blue, don't know if you're trying to be funny, but I can't believe no one has noticed your 14-14 score in 2007. Last time I checked, Elliott did not get in. :laugh:

While I agree that CCH is the favorite I do not necessarily agree that the Camels are better than the Tigers. What evidence do you have for that?
