Anybody have information on the St. Henry preseason tournament? Whose entered, when does this begin?

This link should take you to where you need to go. Lots of great teams showcased early in the year.

In 6th grade I believe Ockerman and Campbell Co. will have very strong teams. Ockerman has Beau Downs, Thad Moss, and Logan Turner. Campbell will have Trent McGovney, Matt Wilson, Owen Workman, and Griffin McHugh. Blessed Sacrament and Highlands should also be pretty strong. Highlands will be huge on the inside..:thumb:

Is Moss at Ockerman? I thought he was at Gray.

Moss is at Gray. Dalton Turner will play at Ockerman.

Not to get off topic, but how is Moss at Gray, and his sister at Boone?? Just curious? Aren't they two different districts?

Please see the 8th grade teams below for the Crusader Classic that begins on 11/6 and ends on 11/22.

Thanks Afi100guy. Do you know how many kids tried out for each team? They had a lot on the benches last year and they are dropping down to 1 team in each grade from what I have read. It may put a lot of talent in the stands this year?

There were 45 boys last night at the first 6th grade Camel tryout. I believe they are going to make some cuts on Thursday and the rest on Friday. They will be keeping 12 players.

Wow good for the Camels! A few years ago they kept enough for two teams. No hope of that for this year? It would be nice to have more kids get developed if you have that much interest.

My understanding is that the budget will allow for only one school team per grade (this is the first year for that). The rec league will be available for those that do not make the team.

Just curious about what the rec league is for those kids that get cut. There is talk that Highlands Middle School will be having upwards of 60 kids trying out for the 6th grade team and I was wondering if this is something that might be an option for those that do not make the team. I know of rec leagues in Dayton and Newport, but was not aware of one out in the county. Any ideas on what teams will be participating in the Camel Classic?

I have heard that there is now a Gold Camels team for the 6th grade. I am guessing this is due to the numbers that came out. Not sure what kind of schedule they will play.

This situation is not unique to Campbell County. Several schools had large numbers come out. Gray from my understanding had more than Campbell County. What options do the other schools make available for the kids that don't make the team?

SOAS has a school league that my understanding is that a lot of schools or parents of kids who did not make the traveling team, put together a team to play in it.

It is NOT the SOAS rec league

Anybody know what's going through the Campbell Co 8th grade coach's head??!!?? How do you explain 2 top AAU players (made it to the final 4 at state last year) not making the school team? Was this good old CC politics at it's best?

Who are they? What team did they play for last year? Wow, this is surprising? Who is the coach? Is this his first year?
