Q, you are thinking of Cole Davis-Roberts. He is also big and athletic. HMS has 4 nice size players on the roster and have Nick True playing up to frosh.

 

I heard Schweitzer has arms as big as tree trunks and takes up major space in the paint. wow...nice bigs in the 8th.

I ran the tourney last year and its a huge fundraisor for the 8th grade's Wash Dc trip. I am sure there is no reason for parents of the winning teams to go for scouting purposes but the hometown fans should attend and support the school. JMO Or atleast go up and eat some walking tacos and leave. :idunno:

 

I did stop by tonight and caught St. Joe's ladies handle the St. Therese team. Than I watched the boys go at it. St. Mary's handled an undersized St. Thomas team 40-10. About what I expected. I did not stick around for the next game of Victory vs. Trinity. The wife has me on a diet so i did not get a chance to munch on the walking Tacos :isurrender:

Watched a game tonight that had to be the worst officiated game I have ever seen, and that would be well over 1,000 ball games on all levels. Conner 8th played IHM 8th in the Crusader Classic at St. Henry. Conner won 47-40. The refs were two familiars from SOAS. These two were atrocious.

Immaculate Heart of Mary. It's in Boone County. They have a real nice team, just not alot of depth.

St Henry is famous for having the worst officials. It is amazing how poor they are there not only in tournaments, but in the leagues there.

I've watched alot of games at St. Henry, tournament and league, and it seems to me that the officials do a good job. I guess it just depends on whether your team wins or loses.

MM, I couldn't agree more. The measure of a true sportsman is what happens when it doesn't go their way. If the game was a blowout, I'd think nothing would be noticed.

This has nothing to do with how close the score was at all. Everyone knows how bad the officials are at SOAS and that's where these guys were from. One example: Ball went out of bounds, and the official closest to the ball missed the call. He looked to the other official for help, and he could not make the call either because he did not have a good vantage point. So what did they do?? They just picked a team out of the hat and awarded them the ball instead of calling a "jumpball" and using the possession arrow. Don't think for one second that I am upset about the game not going our way, there are no sour grapes here. Just wanted to point out that the officiating was horrible for this game.

Is coach Robinson still the 8th grade coach? I know Walton plays Conner on Saturday at Walton - sould be a good game.

Who is everyone? I've seen many games at SOAS and think they do a great job because I know the game. Most people are uneducated about the rules. They believe they know but really don't. Also the officials aren't from SOAS since SOAS doesn't send officials out. They may referee there but I would imagine they are aligned with an association.
