Cov Cath beat Beechwood 10-0 in the District Finals one week ago. With Smith pitching for the Tigers last night and unavailable for the championship game who would have guessed the result?? Best of luck to Beechwood as they move down state. Congratulations to Cov Cath for a great season.

Pic 23 clearly shows that the umpire should have called interference on the runner for violating the Force Play Slide Rule. In high school you have to slide directly into the bag or it is interference. The result would have/should have been that the batter was out as well for a double play.

 

There were a few questionable calls at first, but in the end, the team who deserved to win did just that. Congrats to the Tigers!! I enjoyed catching Snyder on the hardwood, but it turns out baseball might be his best sport.

Considering how young and inexperienced this BW team was vs the experience and 2 BCS D1 recruits on CCH, yes.

I dont know that the above picture really tells whether he was safe or not. If you look at the series of pictures Snyder catches the ball on the first base side and swipes it down. So the picture really doesnt say much he could have already tagged him by that point.
