May 27, 200917 yr I think if he visits Morehead on Friday, he'll be an Eagle. Tyndall is a great recruiter and that will be a good school for Landon that is still close to home. And, it's still DI. I doubt he plays if he goes to Morehead. DT is as much about athletes as Cal. is...........
May 27, 200917 yr Kind of tacky to do it on a text message. Surely he has spoken to him face to face and told him he was not going to be on the team next year.
May 27, 200917 yr Amazing that he posted this on a website for everyone to see. I'm sure 96% of UK fans stay on that site just to see what ole' Cal is up to. Pretty much the only reason I signed up. I know several other friends who are UK fans signed up for the same reason. Kind of tacky to do it on a text message. Surely he has spoken to him face to face and told him he was not going to be on the team next year. I would be really surprised if he didn't talk to him face to face.

May 27, 200917 yr Isn't he at the SEC meetings? Tough to meet face to face with Slone, Sloan, or any one else from there. A mild underestimation by Cal of how big blue nation loves the KY boys. He'll figure that out too. And the truth is - the kid was a walk on. It's not the same.
May 27, 200917 yr Pretty lame, and no need to air it... First bad PR move Coach Cal has made at UK. There is no reason not to let the KY boy be a walk-on.

May 27, 200917 yr Unless the walk-on doesn't want to be on the team. I think Slone wants to see some floor time and he would never see that at UK now. That's true too. But as a walk-on you really shouldn't expect to see the floor at a program like UK. If you do, great. If not, just be happy your on UK's team.

May 27, 200917 yr Author Here are some "Big Blue Opinions" on the Landon Slone stuff... Which side are you on?
May 27, 200917 yr Calipari owes Slone nothing. He's a good player, but he's not good enough to be a contributor at Kentucky. Interesting that some Kentucky fans are so eager to get rid of scholarship players like Stewart, Harrelson and others to make room for the McDonald's boys but that some are suddenly so indignant about letting a walk-on go.

That was my first thought, as well. They are basically kicking Stewart, Williams, etc. out the door but then they go to pieces when a "Kentucky boy" walk-on is asked to leave.:ohbrother:
May 27, 200917 yr Author Not sure twitter is the forum that should be used for an apology. I think the Twitter post was more PR than an actual apology.
