March 31, 200917 yr The only problem I have with Cal is the kind of recruits he sometimes gets that have questionable character. Sometimes you take a chance and it doesn't workout. I also realize that it happens to the best of coaches as well. But I hope it doesn't happen at UK.

I was unaware of that. And that was the number on the tail fin of the plane the Memphis TV stations showed. It's also the only one heading to Lexington tonight.

March 31, 200917 yr If and when the official announcement is made Wedensday at the press confrenece I'll be very happy for UK and Coach Cal and for all UK fans everywere. I just be glad when this think is over with so we can go on with our lives.

March 31, 200917 yr What Vitale said is they should be released to go anywhere they want AND NOT SIT OUT A YEAR, except to the school where the coach defects to. I agree with that statement. Why? There have been a number of times that recruits have asked out when a coach leaves but I think it is seldom that a signed recruit follows a coach. If he is released he should be able to go where he wants. I don't believe in conditional releases, plus there is no rule to support his opinion. He didn't say that when Roy went to Carolina.

Wireman, you never disappoint!! Lol Also, I was on top of Gillispie getting the boot, as well :thumb: When my buddy first told me Calipari's name, I couldn't believe it. He told me that they talked to Donovan first, but he shunned us once again. I'm wondering if LABS or anyone can confirm that. He also told me that if the "A List" all fell through, Travis Ford would have been our coach. He was out "safety" net, so to speak.
