March 31, 200917 yr Wonder if we'll be hearing the same from Euton, Zollo, and Villarino? I am sure he will contact these players and we will just have to wait and see. Zollo is just a Sophomore and still growing, as many posters have stated on here before, he is the one that most think will still get the offer.
March 31, 200917 yr Not even close to what he said. Yeah that is essentially what he said. Vitale said....Recruits should be released whenever a coach leaves and free to go where ever they want, he went on to say that Cal's recruits should be released to go anywhere but with him to UK.
March 31, 200917 yr He said he thought in general signed commits should be released, but not be able to follow the coach. That's a slippery slope. Obviously players are recruited by a coach and that's a big part of it. If it's true that they have a clause to get out if he's not there then they are very smart. Either players are going to have to be allowed leaving when this happens or it's going to become football and people will not sign w/o waiting until the end. Does Vitale not understand any of that? The Cousins scenario of commiting w/o signing is going to become the norm for top 50 players IMO.
