Thread has almost 200 posts and thats not bad off season activity. I do agree that if it was the Highlands football job there would probably be 2000 posts.

I'd say the poster knows very little about Highlands and how much we care about all the coaches.

Pretty quiet if a coach as been hired. Has anyone else heard anything?

I would expect the coach to be named no later that Friday. From what I understand, the selection was pretty much a no brainer.

 

Now the next thing will be getting the 6th grade program up and running.

Just in time for basketball camp. One thing I am big advocate is to start your system being taught to the boys young. I concur in regards to the 6th grade program. Contrary to what some believe Highlands is about academics and success. Football is certainly the glory sport; but we have boys willing to play them all. I believe we have a few that truly wants to play all 3 and will push hard to not settle. I see a freshman baseball team in our future as well. Who says we can't change our ways of thinking.

My guy feeling is Rick Schumate will be their new coach, but then again, it could be any one of their finalists.
