March 23, 200917 yr :puke: Sorry, but he's arrogant, and a liar, and I don't like him. Would hate to stop being a Cat Fan, but.....:walk:
March 23, 200917 yr What has Donovan done lately, two NIT tourney's in a row. Seriously? The man is 2 years removed from winning back to back NCAA championships.
March 23, 200917 yr Bruce Pearl is NOT a good Coach. :ohbrother: Agree 110%. He doesn't impress me at all.
March 24, 200917 yr Why would he want to leave Memphis when he gets 30 wins a year, and has been to what, 4 straight Sweet 16 appearances? If he has a 20-24 win season down there, people don't call for his head. He recruits great kids, it's a great atmosphere, and I would really call it a dumb move on his part to go away from that. But you know what they say, money talks.
March 24, 200917 yr To answer your question NO. UK has become what Notre Dame has become in College Football very average! No kid is impressed with what happened in the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's It is about winning titles and making the NBA. Also about style of play. I would have to disagree. Have you seen the recruits Notre Dame gets year in and year out? They always have amazing recruiting classes but just havent produced they way old Notre Dame teams have produced in years past. Although I think this year Notre Dame will be tough. But hey this is a basketball thread so back to basketball!:thumb:
March 24, 200917 yr After the NIT because it is Billy Donovan signed sealed and delivered over and out! Rick Pitino let it slip to a few friends in Louisville and they can't keep a secret. I'd like to know a few of his friends then....
March 24, 200917 yr Billy will be back next year mark it down he is not going anywhere this year. Then why doesn't Mitch Barnhart say that?
March 24, 200917 yr Then why doesn't Mitch Barnhart say that?Maybe he doesn't have permission to say it. Or the decision hasn't been made yet.
March 24, 200917 yr Maybe he doesn't have permission to say it. Or the decision hasn't been made yet. The decision hasn't been made to keep Gillispie?
March 24, 200917 yr It all boils down tot he fans! We keep talking about Calipari selling Memphis and all this but they have great fans in memphis! Some may think we to at UK have a great following and great fans but we have the most wishy washy fans in the nation. You win we love you, lose a few the same coach is terrible and has to go! No second chances or time to reload, we want the coach who is hot for the moment and once we get him and the team doesn't have it we want him gone. some of these very guys who are aching for Calipari to come to UK to replace BCG will be leading the charge and threads to fire him the year after he arrives. Stay where you are Calipari and Donovan if you are smart, don't take the money you will be miserable here at UK. I'm a true blue fan but this is the truth.
