I was just thinking of Cvillecat the other day. Tell him we are thinking of him. You and he are two of the class acts of this site. There are others of course; but you guys are two of them. The guys who joined in the spring of 06 have to stick together. Maybe summer in his case. Anyway, it has been awhile. Good luck to him.

Oh my, I had a buddy break his ankle on the stuff.

I can tell that you know him and that we are hunters. Cville told the doctor basically those exact words. :lol:

This part of our state has been getting rampant with thunder chickens and cville considers it his duty and obligation to eliminate all he can and baptise them in peanut oil.

One other note, the Doctor told cvillecat that there was only a 60-40 chance of it being a complete sucsess and that he was probably looking at having to have complete knee replacement down the road. Hopefully this will work and he won't have to. This man has had 3 back surgery's, I believe 2 or 3 other knee procedures, scope, draining fluid, etc. from playing ball when he was younger.

I kid him all the time about him not being able to walk through an airport or any Federal bldg. of any kind....he sets every metal detector and alarm off in the country.:lol:

 

I can get by with saying that bc I am in bad shape myself and we have been friends since a very young age.

I saw cvillecat a couple of weeks ago when he came into the hospital for some test. He told me what had happened to him, and then I heard from him a couple of days later letting me know what his results were. You are in my prayers Cvillecat.

Thanks everyone for all your kind words and well wishes. Having great friends like you make things a little easier when times are rough and I truly appreciate each and everyone of you.

 

The surgery shouldn't be to bad. I have had the same procedure on my other knee but things are done a little different now. The partial tear of the MCL and ACL should heal on their own and will not be repaired at this time. The complete tear of the medial retinaculum will be repaired due to causing me problems with stability while walking or standing.

The Dr. will clean up bone spurs and cracks around the knee cap that have progressed over the years.

 

As Oldrambler stated, the Dr. said I would need total knee replacement but I made the decision to do that only as a last resort.

With Jesus Christ leading the surgery team, I'll be back on my feet in a few days and enjoying life to it's fullest.

As long as I can chase ol' three toes or as Woodsrider calls them (thunder chickens) I'll be happy.:lol:

Bless you heart cvillecat.Hope the surgery goes well. My son had a surgery called ...salvation knee surgery...PSI I think they called it. He need tolal knee replacement , but they said he was too young. So they did this surgery at UK sports medicine. So far so good. If you want more info on it just PM me.

I'm glad you posted, cville. I think I know now what a "thunder chicken" is.
