I agree. But what I'd really like to see from them is them controlling the tempo of the game instead of their opponent. As a Bulldog enthusiast tezzy wouldn't you like to see them control the pace and have a better chance of putting a team away than to let some slow ball team make you bite your nails down until they bleed? I know I would. After the championship game I didn't have any nails left. Not to mention how much they were already gnawed down from the Ryle & NewCath games.

The only way for Holmes to force tempo is to press and honestly they don't have the depth to do that...that's why you see teams able to slow the ball down against them.

Holmes will win.

Christian County by 7.

Why am I not surprised that you picked Holmes opponent? Do you ever pick Holmes to win a game? Might there be a reason?

Dead on Bigmark. People down state are in for a real treat when they see this Holmes team. A lot think Holmes can't score but at Rupp I don't see many teams running a whole minute off the clock during one possession. Holmes has shown they can win playing ANY style whether it be slowing it down or playing uptempo. They've beaten teams by scoring in the 70's and they've beaten teams by scoring in the 30's and 40's. Holmes schedule has prepared them greatly for a run at Rupp as they've faced pretty much every style out there multiple times.

Thats why I like them to win it all at Rupp. They can do it all.

Yeah...he is a Holy Cross fan.

I promise this Christian Co. has not face this kind of D all year. The may quit after first quarter. Holmes will make you earn every basket you get. The problem is Holmes keeps everybody in the game with their style. But hey if its not broke why fix it. 32-2. Good luck Holmes.

I have a feeling on this one that this may be the upset in this years state. or it could be I just have to go to the restroom.IDK:idunno:

This will be one of the better match ups in the first round. Conflicting styles with 2 very athletic teams. I see Holmes coming out on top but I think it will be hard earned and could very well go Christian County's way.

They may quit after the first quarter? Please explain!

They will be furstrated. Better have some discipline.

I'm taking Christian County in an upset.

Christian County is the perfect team for Holmes to open up with because they will try to run with Holmes. Unsuccessfully, but they will try to run. This will get Holmes ready for LexCath and Elliott County. I'm looking for the Bulldogs to regain their spacing in the halfcourt offense as well. That will open up shooters and cutters all day long.

Holmes 64, Christian County 45

It could be the restroom thing. The thought of EC having to face Holmes could do that I suppose.:idunno:

I would rank this the best first round game in the Sweet 16. I would put the Eastern vs Corbin game second.
