To keep in line with the thread, I think that the futures for both teams considering how young they both are overall is bright. Greenup has that daunted soph. class and it's been well discussed the youth at Russell.

Russell's jv finished 15-6 on the season and won the last 8. This matchup could be terrific for years to come. I really enjoyed the atmosphere last night and hope that's a sign of things to come.:thumb:

I said earlier Russell was just a shot or two from getting over the hump !

That game may just have been the hump. It was a great game to watch and the crowd was as it should be. Loud and biting their nails.:thumb:

I may have overlooked this so forgive me if it has already been mentioned...........I just heard from a very reliable source that the Stapleton kid that hurt his hand has gotten the report that it was a bad bone bruise, nothing broken. Stapleton may play in the final but also may be held out untill the regional since Russell has already assured themselves of a spot in the regional tournament. As I stated inanother post, Casey Stapleton is obviously a great kid and I personally know that he comes from a great family.

Congrats to the Red Devils. I had a feeling Coach Kidwell would find a way to beat the Muskies.

I dont guess many people listened to the post game show, I didnt either, but I have heard 2 different people say that Fraley said he didnt know if he was comming back next year, due to all of the "fan resistance". My question is who has been saying things. I am one of his biggest critics and have not said a word since the beginning of the season. Honestly I have been to alot of games and until last night had not heard many negative things being said.

How many coaches have been polarized by Greenup fans, supporters, and administration. Let’s take the current football threads as an example. The new coach isn’t even here yet and already posters have mandated weightlifting, selected the starting lineups, and decided what kind of offense to run. Lets face it Greenup won’t have a ten year coach in the distant future.

I dont even know how to respond to this hateful,and quite frankly pompus post. What happened with Dodd at Russell? Dont throw stones when you live in a glass house. As far as the football thread, most of the other team threads are giving mock lineups and talking about off season training, there have been no negative posts in that thread. I love the fact that GC football has had 3 threads with over 100 posts in each and it isnt even March yet. Things at GC will and are getting better.
