Not to mention the last meeting CCH made some pretty 'lucky' 3 pointers with the under about 2 minutes left. The game was not as close as the score was.

It's tournament time. I will go with the team with the guards and the senior dominated team - Beechwood. Although Beechwood was playing better a couple of weeks back than they are now, I don't think CovCath has improved. CCH is still struggling in the tough games so you can't expect them to do it now. For CCH to win, Maile has to get 28+.

I think the better question is when was the last time CCH didn't make the region tournament? I think this may be the first time they don't make it in over 20 years? Can anyone confirm?

Really not all that long ago (2004/2005 season) or the last year they were in the 34th with Dixie, Lloyd, Villa, Scott, and Calvary Christian.

Correct. Beechwood made in 04/05 and lost to Conner in the first round.

I truthfuly don't know but I am guessing that it has been a while! I think if this CovCath team can play up to their ability Monday, it won't happen this year either!

Beechwood is senior dominated so I don't think there is any chance of Beechwood getting to the regional next year. But starting the year after next, don't be surprised to see them in the mix several years in a row. They have some very good talent in the 6-9th grades. Of course, that is assuming the talent keeps playing basketball, which doesn't always happen at Beechwood.
