Just don't try and order a bourbon and water with your meal, they don't have a clue what that is. They only understand beer, water, coke, and Margarita.

I agree! In NKY (or anywhere else) El Rio Grande is the winner, hands down. :ylsuper:

Or catering.

An ex took me to The Real Enchilada a few years ago for dinner and ironically we broke off a few weeks later.. I was still feeling the effects of dinner. I think I was set up.

None...they are good for what they offer, but they are as Mexican as I am.

LaFinca's of Morehead ! The best. IS the Taco Tico still open in Winchester?

I don't know about that, but I will say that I go to the El Camino Real in Winchester about twice a month. It's excellent.

No, but I can't remember what is there. I believe that there was another Mexican restaurant that took Taco Tico's place (Tacos Too, maybe) and another restaurant after that one.

I did not even realize that Taco Tico was still in business, but it is and their website shows that they have restaurants in the following Kentucky locations:

Corbin

Lexington

Louisville (2 locations)

Mt. Vernon

Taco Tico was not the best Mexican food that I have ever had, but it was cheap and the tacos were pretty good for fast food.

Tia Juana Tilly's in Tijuana, Mexico.

Gotta go off the ballot and vote for Rio Grande in Newport. It's good stuff!:thumb:

It is really good but I've found that some of their food is really bland so I've stopped trying different dishes and stay with what I've liked in the past.

Does it give an address in Lexington? I'm there quite often and would LOVE to find it!!

I was a big fan of Chi Chi's before they closed down in the 80's or early 90's. Their Chicken Nacho's where the bomb.

Maya's in Florence at the corner of US 42 and Hopeful Church Rd (on the side of the BP Station). Small place, but absolutely great food and they do a great job catering also.
