Does anyone think that Coach Ray will get back in the ring,so to speak? I understand that he is running weights. Will he get the urge to see if he can make it happen again?

I do not think it would happen but I would love to see him back.

If he did come back, it would be for a short period 3 or 4 years, get the program back and have a good asst. coach who would take over for him.

We got about a month to play out all kinds of possiblies.

From want I have been total the kids are enjoying the 6:30 workouts.

Maybe Coach Ray comes back as a coordinator?

While I have little doubt he would not come back as the HC, I have zero doubt he would NOT come back in another capacity. If he's giving up time to golf, he'd be the head man.

The caveat would be if he really, REALLY liked the new head coach especially if there were a connection. Maybe then.

If anyone could lure Lynn back into coaching it could be Mike Woolf.

Lynn would have the opportunity to mentor one of his former great players

He would have the enjoyment of being back in coaching but not the pressure and he would be passing on his extensive knowledge of the game to one of his own.

Kenny Turner to CovCath? Where did this come from? :idunno:

Turner coached at Holmes years ago, but has been at Madison Central as an assistant to Bill Cronin (1 year I think) or Paul Rains until he took over the head coaching responsibilities in 2003. I think he is very close, if not already there when it comes to time put in for retirement.

I think his son was an assistant football coach at CovCath around 1999-2001.

Although very very unlikely to happen I would love it if that's how it worked out. Woolf coaches under Coach Ray for a couple seasons and then takes over. That would be ideal.
