I thought I heard the announcers say this score. I know for sure CovCath lost by 5. If it is wrong, I apologize.

Tough loss for the Colonels.

I know Covcath is struggling but I hope people now realize that Beechwood is for real. They will get the #2 seed in the district IMO. I've said this all along since I first saw them against Holmes.

Congrats to Beechwood.

I think prayers are in order for Mitch Shover as the young man didn't even attend the game tonight. Forget basketball, I am really worried about his health and well being for just being a high school kid! My thoughts and prayers go out to you Mitch!

Is this the biggest win in Beechwood history?

I'm not sure if they have ever beaten CovCath...if so it has been at least 25+ years.

I know CCH is down this year and obviously not full strength but kudos to the Beechwood kids.

.

I would hope not.

Congrats to Beechwood.

Agreed....much more important things in life than a basketball game. Get well!!!!

Congrats to Beechwood.

I agree. Well said.

I spoke to someone close to the program today and Mitch likely will not be back the rest of the season. God bless him for a speedy recovery with whatever health issues he's facing.

I hate to see any good player miss his senior season, but more important, for any young person to be so ill. Hope for a good recovery for him.

Anyone have any stats from the game?

Nice W for Beechwood...I got to spend Christmas with some Cov Cath Alum and mentioned how talented the Beechies were this year but they said it would never happen!!! Hate to say I told ya so Hiltz Bro's!!!

Godspeed Mitch!!!

Beechwood did what they had to do to win. Cov Cath needs to stop turning the ball over now. The pressure tonight was not that bad and still couldn't protect the ball. Someone needs to remind these boys that this is varsity basketball.

Get well Mitch!

CONGRATULATIONS TIGERS!!!!!!

Great job. Keep the groove!

Beechwood led the entire game. Frequently by double digits. They played harder, smarter and deserved to win. Coach Schumate was ill and looked like he was going to pass out. The assistant coach did most of the patrolling of the sidelines but Coach Schumate hung in throughout the entire game. (Ice pack on his head, cool towel around his neck). Very gutsy. Congrats to the Tigers.
