Boucher told me about the site. I remember only posting on the HS basketball and football forums at first. Now, years later, I hit most of them.

I remember scanning this site years ago and some guy was talking about Duran Jefferson et al as 6th graders and talking about some of them having pro potential.

I registered the night of Trinity's first state championship during their current run, in December of 2001. CentreRocks, flagetrocks and, of course, LSURock had some of the earliest posts I remember in the football forum.

 

In my younger and more vulnerable days, I got into some heated exchanges with an X supporter called urspider and a Henry Clay fan whose name I no longer remember. Foolishness.

I am still not really sure after reading through the whole classic thread lol.

It's kind of like Santa Claus. You either believe or you don't.

Mine was trying to always remember to post as a man. You have no idea how hard that was at times. Lucky for me I had some great BGP friends who fix my post when I messed up. :lol::lol:

Yes, some of MY earliest memories involve getting frantic phone calls (once, at the Silver Grove Dari Bar) from you to edit a post in which you had forgotten your gender or otherwise caused some sort of unintended havoc.

I'd have to say my first BGP memory is the first time GT sent me an Instant Message. My reaction was something like this:

OJ Mayo as a 7th grader and how quickly 16th region threads would get away from topic and get closed. Not much has changed over the years. :lol:

 

Getting a PM from McPapa congratulating me on 500 posts and thanking me for making them full of substance most of this time, still a very nice gesture I will never forget. :thumb:

I would have to say, giving FF tons of Flack for always talking to his "friends" on here. He never got off, obviously later for me to find out I am just as much addicted to you all as he was and still is. Glad he talked me into joining.
