For what it is worth....rankings

....................Highlands .............Johnson Central

Litkenhous ..........1............................3

Massey...............1............................4

Cantrall ..............1............................4

BluegrassPreps.....1.............................6

This will be a good game...why anyone thinks this will be a blowout, I don't know.

Johnson Central is 11-1...just like the Bluebirds.

I repeat my suggestion for Highlands...be ready and play like an underdog with something to prove.

Remember 2002? Rockcastle County 45 Highlands 6

Hey JC Fans, if we pull into town early, where is the best local restaurant?

As will Mr. Welch.;)

I am not sure how many interceptions Welch needs to break the sate record, but I will go out on a limb and say this may be his night. Welch has always performed in big games and this bunch may thow his way.

Did not see a unbeatable team when watching film this week QB for Highlands. Very slow, not enough talent to beat JC.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about Guidulgi he will be under center all night just handing the ball off. Check him off, move on to the next guy.

Besides DQ & McDonalds

Ponderosa

Pizza Hut

Fiesta Place- Great Mexican Food

Mandarin House- Great Chinese Food

Mi Finca- New Mexican Restaurant That Just Opened in Downtown Area

Welch will have a chance to prove himself Fri going against All State WR Austin Collinsworth.

I know this doesn't mean much, but I thought it was interesting that there are eight sets of guys on the JC team with the same last name. And two of those are a set of three. Now, whether all those are related or not, I don't know. But looking at their roster I kept coming across the same names over and over. If you're curious, here's the list:

Jeremy Bratton

Tanner Bratton

Dennis Dillon

Nathan Dillon

Gavin Fairchild

Justin Fairchild

Tim Fairchild

A.J. Holbrook

Corey Holbrook

Justin Holbrook

Josh Lackey

Travis Lackey

Andy Lewis

Todd Lewis

Bobby Webb

Ryan Webb

Ian Welch

Joseph Welch

You'll stand on the roof of a building constructed in 1846 with 2,000 lbs of human being and 300 lbs of cannon every Friday night but won't "visit a mountain?"

Maybe it's a "Deliverance" thing...(beware the banjo music)

 :D

Also why does Senior, Adam May have two numbers?

27 - 87 Adam May Offense: WR, Defense: DB

Is his name pronounced "jooee-doogly", "joo-doogly", or what ??

(there aren't many Italian family names in these parts)

You will not find much in the way of fine dining in Paintsville. Aside from the chain restaurants like Shoney's, Bob Evans, Ponderosa, etc., there are not many options.

I like Mexican food and the Fiesta Place, which is near Arby's, is pretty good. I haven't eaten there in a couple of years, but the Fiesta Place used to have some very tasty desserts.

If you arrive with plenty of time to spare, I highly recommend the fried catfish at the Jenny Wiley State Park lodge near Prestonsburg, but it will take you about 20 minutes to get there from Paintsville.

Guh-dooley.

GUH-DOO-LEY would be the closest I could come on the Highlands QB name.
