He doesn't have the PG to run the offense he desires, and right now he sticking with it and waiting for Liggins to get there. If he puts Meeks on the ball and goes to a pass entry/motion set I think it would benefit their performance. It's all about taking advantage of what you have, and not forcing bench players to play major minutes because the "best fit what you want to do".

You can still set the foundation for the future while doing some different thing to win games now...

Isn't that what UC is doing with Vaughn after Cash went out?

If so, it seems to be working.

Typical of someone who was banned before, And now has a second chance, And I'm not willing to let that happen again...

Stick to the game and not each other!

Similar. It's not what Mick wants to run in any way, shape or form. Just what he has to do to based on the roster...

Pass entry motion set? What is that?

Any motion offense has a entry or a trigger and motion is not a set it is a continuity offense.

Meeks is not a point guard, he doesnt have the ball skills to play it, it is far too right handed. He is much more of a catch and score guy than one to create his own shots.

Darius Miller would be a better point guard than Meeks.

He is going to have to play Liggins and live with his mistakes.

Again, I love Darius Miller. I'm excited for his career.

Non Factor?

I can see where you are saying that in that he does not touch the ball enough but he had 19 points and 11 rebounds (double-double) tonight with us not getting him the ball like imo they should. What would he do if the offense goes to him more ?

He absolutely was a non factor. Those are good stats for the game. But how many of those points came in the last 7-8 minutes? In the first half, I believe he only had 6 points. If they would have fed him the ball in the first half, instead of throwing up bricks, its a complete different game

If I were coach G., I'd make it mandatory to get Patterson a touch below the FT line every possession.

How nice would it be to have that pg back that everyone always said they couldn't wait till he graduated in Bradley...

As I said before this season, that this team probably would struggle because we have only two scorers on this team. If this team is not going to play defense and going to turn the ball over, we are not going to win many games. This team doesn't have the offense to win high scoring ball games, especially against good teams. I think this team will end up being like last years team. However as long as injuries dont happen, I think this team will come together a little quicker than last years.

Pass entry/motion.

The / means it's not one in the same.

Get the ball over half court, and then run an offense that doesn't really require a PG.

I'd trust Meeks with the ball over Porter every day of the week. "Too right handed" be darned.

UK has the players to be successful if Gillespie would play to his strengths instead of obvious weaknesses.

Keep putting the ball in Porter and Liggins hands right now, and it will be much of the same until he can whip Liggins in to shape over Christmas break, and hope it works is where they stand.

Luckily the SEC is pretty bad...
