November 22, 200817 yr And how does being surrounded by NBA talent make TH's numbers MORE impressive? I personally think it is since there were so many other players looking for their touches and he still got his. Look at how balanced UofL's scoring and rebounding was last year, put Clark on U's squad his his numbers would increase like crazy. Same goes for TH.

UNC makes sure Hansbrough gets the ball plenty...the rest of the guys split and look for their touches with what's left. That's not a valid point. Everything at UNC revolves and TH. Its not like he's being forced to get offensive rebounds to touch the ball.

Not 3 years ago when he was a freshman like we're talking about, it's a very valid point. He played in fewer games, fewer minutes and averaged fewer shots yet still put up excellent numbers.

If you would like more comparison, here are their freshman year per game averages: pp - 35.7min - 16.4ppg - 7.7rpg - 1.7apg - 2.1topg - 0.8spg - 1.2bpg - 57.4%fg - 73.1%ft - 11.3 shots th - 30.4min - 18.9ppg - 7.8rpg - 1.3apg - 2.5topg - 1.2spg - 0.7bpg - 57.0%fg - 73.9%ft - 11.3 shots As a freshman he averaged EXACTLY the same number of shots per game as PP. He did play fewer minutes, but that means he was shooting MORE OFTEN than PP while he was actually in the game. He also played 31 games to PP's 25. And actually, TH shot over 8 free throws per game while PP shot less than 5. So TH actually had more touches AS A FRESHMAN than PP did. TH - 30.4min - .37 shots per min - .27 free throws per min PP - 35.7min - .32 shots per min - .13 free throws per min
November 22, 200817 yr Maybe you didn't pay attention to the last stat. You didn't understand my post. I was talking to 5wide about TH saying that he played less minutes etc. as a freshman compared to last year. My post had nothing to do with PP.
November 23, 200817 yr TH put up better numbers surrounded by NBA talent on a very deep team. I can't say the same for Pat.
