Really? - it seems a better question for you. Because, we already know that information. :D

Never mind Graybeard. After reading the paper about HHS vs BS and seeing that Highlands fumbled the ball away all night, I have a different picture of that game. It wasn't the matchup that made that game close - it was HHS almost beating themselves. I don't need to know about Ashlands speed or size. Highlands beats Ashland by 4 TDs or more (unless Ashland can create more than 5 turnovers).

That's exactly what it is - a question because I don't know. No posturing in that question at all. How big and how fast are they? I am sure that info will come across on here at some point this week.

Doesn't speak for their speed, but here is Ashland's roster.

What is Ashlands strengths?

What base offense/defense do the Bluebirds employ?

What base offense/defense do the Bluebirds employ?

Good luck getting a straight answer on this one!:sssh:

What base offense/defense do the Bluebirds employ?

Offense: 11 players (Linemen, Receivers, Running Backs, and QB's)

Defense: 11 players (Linemen, Linebackers, DB's)

Oh, and for some real insight into the Birds; Special Teams: 11 players.

Hope this helps...

I would love to see the Tomcats pull off this upset. They have a fairly young team and I believe they are still a year away from being a legit regional championship contender. Good luck to the Tomcats and hope all goes well. And I believe this one will be a little closer then people think.

Highlands 34

I believe the Birds after last week will be more focused then they have been all season and this leads to a 42-14 win for them.

Great insight, none about football and just enough about stickymitts!

What is Ashlands strengths?

Offensively it has to be their inside running game and play action passing on first and second downs. And taking care of the ball.

Defensively it would have to be their ability to pressure the passer. They have a tendency to give up big plays at times (usually early in the game).

You need three things to beat Highlands; size, speed, and very good coaching.

I agree with the member above about needing speed across the board to match the Birds. Second, if you have good size (and strength) many times you can spread the Birds out and run at them. Finally, if you are not coached well it doesn't much matter what you have.

I beleive those too together are enough to give the birds trouble. Especially if a team can run off tackle and run a little playaction to keep them honest.

Highlands got a wake up call last night and I think they take out their frustrations on Ashland this week.

They came very close to having their season ended by a team that shouldn't have been able to play with them. I'm sure they'll hear about that all week at practice.

I know nothing about Highlands other than they are a very good football team. If I were an Ashland fan, I would have almost wanted Highlands to have destroyed BS so maybe they would come in over looking Ashland. That's not gonna happen now.

I'll be pulling for the Tomcats in this one but I don't see them getting the win. Good luck to both teams.

Highlands - 35

Ashland - 15
