You never know what food is going to show up: chili, jambalaya, Whiteys, cheese coneys, pizza, tenderloin sandwiches, steak ka bobs and of course the old traditionals of burgers, metts (sorry about the hot ones last week Boom) and hot dogs. I'll bring the grill again. Besides being useful to cook food, it will be a great source of warmth this Friday night. LRCW, I hope you and other Ashland fans can join us. The Ashland fans seem like one of the nicest group of posters on here and it would be great to meet some of you all.

Thanks for the invitation Leatherneck. How about some directions to the field for us first-time visitors? At this point I think I’ll be driving up the AA highway. So, can you direct me from there?

Sounds like the original food posters are back! You (HHS) have been the inspiration behind my Raceland senior meal thread!:thumb: And the woman in the picture is not only a great wife, but an awesome cook! She keeps the seniors full and content.

Easiest way is to take the AA to Wilder and get on I 275 going East (or North I honestly don't recall how its marked) towards Ohio. Get in the left lane fairly quickly. At the top of the hill, you will take the ramp from the left lane onto I-471 towards Cincinnati. Once on 471 you take the exit marked Bellevue Newport (Memorial Parkway). I believe its the 3rd exit. At the end of the ramp, go to the right onto Memorial Parkway. Go straight through the first stop light. Get and stay in the right lane. Follow Memorial Parkway into Ft. Thomas (approx a mile or so). You will come to a stop sign with a Marathon gas station on right. Go straight at the stop sign and you will quickly see a new school building on the left (its the middle school). Keep going past the middle school and you will see also on your left the high school complex. You will see on your right the parking lot we are tail gating in (sorry the parking lot is reserved parking). You'll have to park on the Avenue or on some side street near by. Parking looks to be a pain in the butt, but you can usually find off street parking relatively close. There's also a parking lot located behind the City Building which is approximately a couple hundred yards past the high school complex, and is also on the left. Hope that helps.

Thank you all for the directions. :thumb:

Both teams should be congratulated for continuing into this week's 2nd round action.

Good Luck to both teams in this "Freezer Bowl".

Birds win this at home by 21!

Your kid must be a freshman! (LOL) They'll be the only ones "freezing"...except if they're smart enough to huddle on the heaters!

I predict a big win by the Fort Mitchell Highlands Bluebirds!

Fort Mitchell is the new Titletown... it's the home of the defending 1A and 5A state champions! Wow!

Parking will not be a problem. Years ago, yes. You would have had to park a 1/2 mile or further and wait a half an hour in line to get in. This yrs attendance has been pitiful to say the least. Average gate is guessing good nite around 1200 recent games 800 to 900. Easy parking and pick your vantage point and good luck.

What do you think the reason for the drop in attendance is?

Winning!!! it's expected, thus no longer exciting. Wait for the wagon to pull up for playoffs and then go and pretend you have been one of the loyals all season long....

Is that harsh? Not trying to start an argument, but for arguments sake, is there a more legit reason?
