This attendance issue has been the case for years. This year is especially bad. First round of the playoffs, you could have shown up to the game at any point from kick off through the final cannon and still gotten a very nice seat on the 50. For a town that prides itself so much on the football program, and rightfully so, the fans can definitely be pathetic at times! Get off your duff and support these kids!

Running off the kids didn't help...

He asked if there was a more legit reason. That sure sounds like he thinks it's a strong excuse.

True, but he said for arguments sake which led me to think he didn't think it was a strong excuse.

I agree. Maybe the North endzone should just be made into a corral?! I played there as a kid, I have watched kids play there since...but I do agree with the fact that it was somewhat tough to get through without being bounced into, or knocked over. Im a fairly decent sized guy so it wasnt a big issue for me, but the wife and kids....a different story!

Maybe this should be another thread...but playoff "spirit' just doesn't seem to be there. Back in the day, the town was agog with banners, stores all had their windows painted up, and there was a "buzz" through the town. With the "everybody makes the playoffs" and the playoffs lasting half as long as the season, I believe the spirit gets lost in the process...it's no longer "special".

Okay Ashland Tomcats, you are the underdog in this one. Show them what you are made of and........

Isn't that a yogurt place?:D

It kind of ruins the joke when you have to explain it. :D

It's special, but it's also put into perspective. If you don't get through the first two rounds, then you didn't belog there in the first place (for HHS that is). The crowds will start showing up after this week:D

They may be on the road after this week.

I agree. I can remember driving through town every day and seeing it alive with spirit. Banners, Signs everywhere, windows painted. It seems now the only time the town really gets "involved" is for the state semi's and finals, which is a shame considering these young men bust their tails every week.

BTW, SIX PAGES on this thread. You'd think we were playing Covcath.

What's funny is there seems to be more Highlands posters in the CCH/JC thread than there are CCH posters.

I noticed that too. I think I know why though. A CCH win saves us a 3 1/2 hour drive. :D;)

Still waiting for the films reviews to come out.....LN? RB? Anyone?
