Since Kragthorpe arrived in Louisville:

 

-Louisville is 11-11, including five losses at home (unbeaten at home in the three years prior to Kragthorpe's arrival).

 

-Louisville is 0-2 versus Syracuse. Louisville is the only Big East school SU has defeated in conference play the past two seasons.

 

-Louisville is 0-2 versus UK, after having beaten them 8 out of 9 years

 

-Louisville is 1-1 versus Cincinatti.

 

-Louisville has now suffered its first three game losing streak in eleven (11) years...

 

-In the two years prior two Kragthorpe's arrival, Louisville was 24-2, with an Orange Bowl (BCS) victory.

My thoughts is sometimes things have to get worst before they get better, when you are trying to clean up a program like he has done. While Petrino did win a lot of games, we have seen that apparently he didn't do it the best way...

That excuse is bad...Yeah, things obviously weren't in the best of shape, but the athletes were, and still are there. If he had no play makers whatsoever, this would be a valid excuse. Kragthorpe is not getting it done. Simple as that.

What is Kragthorpe trying to clean up? People act like Petrino left the program in a mess. I know they had a few players with issues but is there something I missed? Deuce, I agree with where you are going and if I were a Cards fan I would be extremely upset with the job K has done.

I am tired of the excuses, and blaming Petrino. Petrino was a winner. It's not his fault. It's time to fire Kragthorpe. He didn't have to clean up, or rebuild. He took an Orange Bowl team and ruined them in two season. First three game losing streak since the 90's.

As a UK fan I'd say there is nothing wrong with Kragthorpe. When they hired him I didn't think he had a real great career record. They hired him because they thought he would stay for a long time and not use UL as a stepping stone. They were getting up and coming coaches but I think they settled when they hired Kragthorpe. When they got two 12 men on the field penalties vs. UK, I was excited for UK but very dissapointed in the UL coaching abilities.

Some interesting comments from a couple of years ago. Why are you calling him Kragthorpe, and not Coach K now Deuce? :lol:

Great hire by Jurich! Kragthorpe has taken doormat Tulsa to a legitamte contender! I know that he also had Mark Nelson on staff at Tulsa with him. UK fans should remeber Nelson for his Coordinating Special Teams under Morriss. It will be interesting to see who Kragthorpe hires as his staff! Does anybody know which current Louisville Assistants went to the Falcons and which ones stayed in hopes of being retained???

 

I wonder too who he will bring to the staff? I have some buddies at both places I would like for him to keep on staff. Excellent hire on Louisville part!

Kragthorpe is the RIGHT man for UL. If you want to be a win-at-all-costs, sacrifice-integrity-for-wins sort of fan, there are other programs that would welcome you with open arms.

I believe that they do. I don't think that's the problem at all. I also know that many of these players aren't "his" players.
