In the Danville/Frankfort game I was impressed most by Frankforts line play on both sides of the ball...:thumb:

Dayton has not seen the kind of speed Frankfort has this year. Dayton chances lies with their linebacker ( Richardson ). He's big, strong, surprisingly fast and plays smash mouth football. If he is on Quan hasn't been hit like this kid will hit him. Dayton must keep contain and make Quan go through Richardson. Dayton offense must run it right at Frankfort. Frankfort is much to fast for Dayton to get outside. Sherlock is Dayton best offensive threat but he's not a run you over type of a runner. Although he runs very hard his forte is his allusiveness. Frankfort's kicker/punter is very impressive which will limit Dayton's strong return teams. That being said my prediction is:

 

Best offense - Frankfort

Best defense - Dayton

Special teams - Frankfort

 

When Beechwood played them last year, the "Frankfort Speed" was all the talk. Let me tell ya, the Tigers just flat out beat them down, hard! Dayton they will score on special teams, but if you take smash mouth to a whole new level they cant handle it. Period. Watch the film, watch how Elliot handled the "speed".

Dayton can win this game Frankfort is moe hype than anything.

Can't believe I'm actually agreeing with you.. Wow, but NKY is normally leaps and bounds above everywhere else in 1A, Dayton plays like they think they can win then they will win IMHO.. They have strength, a good defense, and some speed. This should be a great game..

How is Frankfort's line? I think this could be the difference maker for either team.

 

Young......... But has been a suprise. They are not the same group of guys that started out this season. Meaning they have gotten better. They are the most improved guys on the team.

I actually do commend Dayton's O line very much, because they are very improved. I actually think the entire team has gotten a lot better. But this is probably one of the top 4 teams in the state in class A. If they still had some of the kids from last years team they might have a little of the speed to offset Frankfort and probably more beef up front, but they don't....

That is not a whole lot to brag about! Number 17 in 4A, thats the cheerleaders right?And not because they are from NKY! If I remember correctly the same thing was said about last years game against Bwood, "just that their from NKY" Tell me, have your guys healed up yet?

 

You might want to go back and reread lasts years posts about the Frankfort Beechwood game anyone that really knows football made no statements about their being so good just because they're from NKy. We have alot of respect for Beechwood and know it's a different breed of ball there, but it seems to me you're elevating Dayton to Beechwoods status because they're from Nky. Didn't you all beat them 51-0? I know it's the playoffs and anything can happen. We learned that lesson several years ago when CAL upset us in the first round. You're correct I do believe Franklin County played three of their cheerleaders against us. I guess the hype train will stop Friday night.

Didn't see Frankfort's line earlier in the year, I'm sure they are improving. They're not bad. But if I had to pick out the weak part of the team I would say that would be it. Only saw the GC game last week but it seemed to me the backs just ran away from everyone. Defensively it seemed as the LB and DB were the strong positions as well. Again not taking any thing away from the line but if there is a week point they would be it IMO. Good Team was impressed with them.

:laugh: Thats funny! Trust me it was said in more than one post, as far as Dayton goes, for some reason we have them beat before the bus arrives have for a couple of years. Have gone to three of their games and they are a much better team that showed up to play Beechwood. Sherlock can flat out take over a game, very talented, compsed QB. So true. Don't get me wrong Beechwood has superior talent to every team in the state in 1A, but if Dayton would come to play the Beechwood game like they do for the Bellevue game it would not get so out of hand so early.
