Seriously, what is your basis for that prediction, outside of your NKY homerism?

I'm sure a team like Holmes or Bellevue or Lloyd or even Beechwood would have to something to say about Dayton not playing any teams with speed. I would dare to say Lloyd and Holmes had better team speed than Frankfort does. One player does equal team speed.

I have seen Daytons last couple of games in person and 1 on TV and of coarse when they played Beechwood, and have seen three game films of Frankfort. Dayton has come a long way since the beating we gave them early in the year, both D and O line are playing at a differnt level with twice the intensity border line nasty! And thats a good thing. QB is head and shoulders ahead of Frankforts QB and for that matter ours too. Granted the films I saw were early games for Frankfort, D line looked confused and out of position all night, great outside speed but LBs were not hitting assignments. O line was fair at best. Quan, well he is from a different planet, that good. But a good LB hawking his every move will make him just good not super. FHS seemed to have trouble with a mobile QB and that is what they are getting and the lad can toss the rock too, and on the run.Last year we put our most physical player on EJ and took, no stole his game from him. take Quan away and they are a fair 1a team, and I believe strongly that Dayton can do just that.

All of the these teams have speed, and The Wood is just flat out Physical....But I'm here to tell you that there is something in the water in South Frankfort....Film does not even give it justification...I've never seen a team out run all of the well coached pursuit angles that they face week to week....Best of luck to both teams.....

The fact that you think Quan is Frankfort's only weapon shows how uninformed you are about their offensive attack. I hope Dayton's players have half the optimism you do, because if they don't this game will be ugly.

I testify to that I think this will be a very good game overall. I'm not sure how it will turn out because Dayton is better than their record but I'm not sure if their better than Frankfort. I think Dayton could beat them if they play their game well. I havent seen Frankfort so I'm not sure how they would play but like crush once said NKY is completly different than other places in 1A football. And that is not cutting down other teams that are not in NKY but just a statement that NKY football is usually better than the rest of the state in 1A.

I would agree :lol: This thread is a good one! I just want to say good luck to both teams. I know some of the Dayton kids so I'm pulling for them it this one. Good luck to the seniors too this could be your last game.

IMO, it doesn't matter where Frankfort plays Beechwood they won't beat them.

 

With that said, I would love to see Frankfort play Beechwood and beat them.

 

With the six classes in football it looks like to ME that the same teams will compete for the championships year after year. Look at this year (1A - Beechwood, 2A - Fort Campbell, 3A - Belfry or Central, 4A - Boyle, Bell or Lex Cath., 5A - Highlands, who could play in 3A and might win this class every year, 6A - St. X or Trinty) and compare those to who won last year.
