I'll go with Belfry over Central.

Western Hills will give E-town all they want and may even upset them!

The regular-season matchup was a pretty close game, at least on the scoreboard.

As far as the eventual state championship goes, I think that the stars are aligned for Belfry this time around.

Central wins state. They have a very good defense and an offense with a lot of talent. Belfry is good, just not good enough to beat Central.

I think Central will play Belfry again this year, with Central winning again. I would like to see a different final but I really think there is only a remote possibility these two will not play.

Etown has a tough row to hoe in the first two rounds against Western Hills - a very dangerous three seed - and undoubtedly North Oldham in round two.

I think North will be playing Central in the Region final...

How does Central's RB this year compare to the Taylor kid who played there last year?

I think a Central vs Belfry matchup is the odds on favorite to happen, but that doesn't mean I'm reserving a room just yet.

After the first round Belfry has a pretty tough road to the playoffs (likely Russell, Mason Co., and Breathitt Co. all @ Cam Stadium in Belfry). Its almost as tough as the '03 Beflry teams road to the finals (2nd Round vs a tough Prestonsburg team, Regional Finals @ Middlesboro, Semi-Finals @ a peaking Erlanger Lloyd squad).

As a matter of fact, about the only reason I say "almost" is simply because this years squad has homefield advantage and in '03 they did not.

I don't think they'll shock anyone. What I mean by that is they have just as good of a chance as anyone in the east.

They've been a very tough out every year, and this isn't the first time they've beaten an Ivan McGlone coached squad.

Nobody will be taking them lightly.

Mason will suprise everyone in the playoffs.

I don't see Mason "surprising" anyone - they may win, but the Royals aren't exactly flying under the radar. They're a quality team; I'm not sure I would classify it as an "upset" if they reach Louisville (although I'm still picking Belfry to come out of the east...)

Seems as though there has been some chatter interrupting other threads so lets hear it...

Who do you expect to see in the 3A Finals?

Will it be a re-match of last season with Belfry and Central? Who can knock these favorites off? Mason County, Breathitt, or Russell in the East? North Oldham, Elizabethtown, and Russellville in the West?

Louisville Central

Central over Belfry in a close battle...

I'll ask again just to make sure someone who may have seen Louisville Central play hears me...How does this year's RB compare to Darrell Taylor, Louisville Central's RB of one year ago?

BTW...I'm not trying to be difficult, I'd just really like to know.
