November 1, 200817 yr You, and the analyst also didn't see if dropping much below $3.00 a galon either. I'm tired of guessing what oil is going to do and for how long, I'm just content with it doing what it has been as of late. Really? You have never heard of a bubble bursting? I have been trying to tell everyone that is only because of the global recession and to still spend wisely. I think it has fallen to fast and it could easily shoot back up but it won't probably won't happen till late next year.
November 1, 200817 yr In the past week, both the oil producing companies and the gas companies have come out and said they are breaking even at current prices?!? How is that possible? Weren't they still making billions when oil and gas were even cheaper than now? They just got spoiled making extra billions (Exxon just had their best qtr ever, again) and now don't want to go back to the old way. These people do this on the back of every American, and smile while doing so. I'm so hoping we don't get stupid again and go back to our guzzling ways.
November 2, 200817 yr We've all been brain washed. I can still remember freaking out a little when it hit $2.00 a gallon. Now we consider that dirt cheap. Funny thing how that works out like that.
November 2, 200817 yr $2.22 at Wal*Mart in Perry County as of 11:00 pm tonight. My Mustang was on E & I put $25 in it & it more than filled it up. I was pretty ecstatic.
November 2, 200817 yr 2.29 is what I saw in Richmond on my way home last night. The lowest i've seen has been 1.99 in Lexington
November 2, 200817 yr Because the gas stations in Ashland are all owned by either Marathon or John Clark. They don't have the competition that the bigger cities have. Exactly. We receive all the toxic waste from the refinery and also get to pay higher prices. Smething just ain't right. Also gas is cheaper in Ohio and they have higher taxes on there gas.
November 2, 200817 yr Oil was around $140 a barrell back in the summer. It's running under $70 now. And OPEC is wanting to cut production to drive the price back up.
November 2, 200817 yr Oil was around $140 a barrell back in the summer. It's running under $70 now. And OPEC is wanting to cut production to drive the price back up. I think we see the price increase after the election.
November 2, 200817 yr I fill up both cars for a total of 30.00 dollars this weekend at 2.05 per gal. Not bad,but would like to see it under 2 before the gas goes back up here in the Danville area.
